Vienna, VA, July 26, 1995 --American Express Travel Related Services
Company, Inc., today announced that Express Reservations, an interactive
travel reservations service, is now available through ExpressNet, the
American Express service on America Online (AOL).

"We are pleased to bring this new service to American Express Cardmembers,
who travel frequently and have a growing interest in accessing information
on-line," said David Bauman, Vice President and General Manager of
Interactive Services at TRS. "Express Reservations is a high-tech,
high-touch service that allows us to forge a closer relationship with our
customers."

John I. Williams, Jr., Senior Vice President and General Manager of
American Express Travel Agency, noted that: "Unlike other online travel
services, Express Reservations is supported by the world's largest travel
agency. Users benefit from our global network of 1,700 travel service

EXPRESS RESERVATIONS

Express Reservations is currently limited to airline bookings, but hotel
and car rental reservations will be added at a later date.

There is no charge to use Express Reservations, once Cardmembers become
America Online subscribers. AOL membership currently costs $9.95 per
month, which includes 5 hours of use. The current price for additional
online time is $2.95 per hour. For more information on ExpressNet from
American Express or how to become an AOL subscriber, call American Express
at 1-800-AXP-1234.

How Express Reservations Works Express Reservations is an easy-to-use,
on-line travel reservations system. Customers navigate through a series of
questions and choices that allow them first to identify and then book the
best flight options for their travel needs. To simplify the process,
customers start by creating personal and/or business travel profiles that
identify their preferences for seating, airlines and class of service.

The process is simple. Using easy menus, the customer enters the desired
itinerary (i.e., "New York to Los Angeles on August 1 around 9 a.m.") and
any restrictions or special instructions ("lowest available fare, but
direct flights only"). A low-price search capability will automatically
find a range of choices. Within a few minutes, Express Reservations will
send a message with available flights that match the customer's needs and
preferences. The customer can then simply book their desired flight with
American Express or with any travel agency using the Sabre computer
reservations system. Customers who book tickets through American Express
will receive tickets via overnight delivery.

"Express Reservations represents the ideal application of online service,"
said Ted Leonsis, President of American Online Services, Co. "This service
combines ease of use and immediacy, two essential requirements for busy
people who travel for business or pleasure. AOL is very pleased to offer
the comprehensive travel service of American Express to our members."
