Annabooks Publishes PCI Products Directory

Indexed Reference Covers Boards, Chips and Accessories

San Diego, CA. June 26, 1995 -- Annabooks announces the availability of the
PCI Databook, the first comprehensive directory of products for the PCI
bus market. Broadly targeted, the directory covers all products specific
to the PCI bus, ranging from interface ICs and boards to BIOS software.
This broad focus makes the PCI Databook a perfect reference for design
engineers, purchasing agents, MIS managers, VARs, OEMs, and end users of
PCs and workstations.

Available now, the PCI Databook will be published semiannually and sold on
an annual subscription basis. The directory includes over 500 products
from over 200 companies as well as complete vendor information listings.

Organized by product category, the directory is fully cross indexed,
providing for simple information retrieval. It provides extensive coverage
of PCI chips, boards, design tools, test equipment, connectors and BIOS
software. Sample categories include BIOS software, bus controller chips,
graphics chips, PCI-host chips, single-board computers, disk-controller
boards, and network boards.

According to co-editor Dr. Lance Leventhal, "We recognized that the PCI
local bus is the single most important technological breakthrough for
desktop computers in several years. The high-speed bus eliminates
bandwidth problems in desktop systems, enabling a variety of applications
including multimedia, videoconferencing, and signal processing. We
conceived the PCI Databook as a must-have reference for anyone designing
or buying advanced, PCI-based products."

According to Annabooks president, Richard Van Antwerp, "The PCI Databook is
just the latest example of our commitment to being the leading source of
design, reference, and market information on the PCI bus. From designer to
end user, anyone with a PCI-related question or problem should call us
first."

An annual subscription to the PCI Databook, including two issues, costs
$125. Annabooks will accept credit card orders via phone or fax, or
companies can fax or mail purchase orders. Shipments of the PCI Databook
will begin the first week of July.

Other PCI products from Annabooks

Annabooks is the foremost source of PCI reference information. The PCI
Databook is the newest of several Annabooks products focusing on the
burgeoning PCI market. Other notable offerings include The PCI Handbook
and PCI Hardware & Software.

The PCI Handbook is a pocket-sized reference for hardware and software
engineers including electrical and mechanical specifications for the PCI
bus. It includes all important charts, figures, waveforms, and mechanical
drawings from the PCI specification Rev. 2.1.

PCI Hardware & Software is a comprehensive reference book covering all
aspects of the design of PCI bus products. Authored by two architects of
the PCI bus -- Ed Solari and George Willse -the book goes beyond the bus
specification to describe conditions developers face in their day-to-day
design and programming tasks.

In addition to its reference books, Annabooks sponsors the annual PCI Week
conference. Proceedings from the March 95 event are still available.
