AMDAHL CORP. ANNOUNCES NEW ORGANIZATION FOR GLOBAL ENTERPRISE INFORMATION
SOLUTIONS

INTEGRATED SALES LINE MANAGEMENT TO MEET GROWING GLOBAL CUSTOMER BUSINESS
REQUIREMENTS

SUNNYVALE, Calif., U.S.A., July 11, 1995 -- Amdahl Corporation announced
today the formation of a global Enterprise Information Solutions (EIS)
organization, an integration of EIS' existing North American, European and
Asia/Pacific business operations. This integration is a natural
progression of Amdahl's strategy to provide complete information
technology (IT) business solutions across the enterprise. By combining
these business operations, Amdahl can better leverage its growing
applications development business.

Amdahl EIS markets and distributes Huron ObjectStar, a robust applications
development environment that helps protect and update customers'
significant investments in legacy systems. To enhance use within the
customer site, EIS sells a range of services from education to turnkey
applications development. Huron ObjectStar provides flexible client/server
and practical object technology in a single product across the enterprise,
from mainframe, midrange UNIX servers and LAN servers to the desktop.
Recent new customers include ITT Sheraton (U.S.A.), Scottish Mutual (U.K.)
and the Credit Reference Association of Australia.

In total, there are more than 200 mainframe and distributed licenses for
Huron ObjectStar at customer sites worldwide, including: Isuzu Motors
America and Kemper National Insurance (U.S.A.); Marks & Spencer and
Peugeot (Europe); and Singapore Telecom and Trust Bank of New Zealand
(Asia/Pacific).

"By integrating our North American, European and Asia/Pacific efforts, we
can better serve our customers' global business requirements," said Steve
Coggins, vice president and general manager, EIS Worldwide
Operations."Since 1991, Huron ObjectStar has become the corporate
application development standard for many organizations in various
industry sectors worldwide. Amdahl is committed to setting the highest
product and support standards, and will continue focusing on expanding
market share in the applications arena and creating new opportunities in
the fast-growing enterprise client/server computing market."

About Huron ObjectStar

Huron ObjectStar is developed by the Antares Alliance Group (80 percent of
Antares Alliance Group is owned by Amdahl; 20 percent by Electronic Data
Systems). Huron ObjectStar minimizes the risks of implementing
client/server technology by allowing developers to create new applications
that seamlessly integrate with legacy systems. Its design approach
increases ease of use and decreases training requirements. Application
objects are easily re-used, accelerating application creation and reducing
maintenance. Huron ObjectStar operates across the whole enterprise running
under Windows. 3.x, Windows NT., UNIX (AIX/6000., Sun/Solaris., HP/UX.),
OS/2 and MVS/ESA. environments.
