SOFTWARE VENTURES SHIPS "INSTANT" INTERNET SUITE FOR MACINTOSH

Internet Valet puts users on the Internet in less than 10 minutes, includes
two-week free Internet account

Berkeley, Calif. - May 26, 1995 - Software Ventures Corporation today began
shipping Internet Valet, a software package that includes everything a
user needs to get on the Internet in less than 10 minutes - software,
service and support. The product comes with a free, two-week Internet
account. Internet service is established automatically with a modem call
to a toll-free 800 phone number available 24 hours a day.

The package, which carries an introductory suggested retail price of
$49.95, includes MacTCP and MacPPP system software, along with leading
Internet applications such as Enhanced Mosaic, Eudora, and MicroPhone=81
Telnet. An installer automatically configures the system software required
for an Internet connection and then installs, configures and displays the
applications on a palette. A user may access the Internet via a modem or a
network connection.

According to Software Ventures president David Hindawi, "Equipped with
Internet Valet, the Macintosh is now the best Internet computer on the
market. We chose these applications because they not only make access to
the Internet easy and fun, but are sophisticated enough to offer users the
features they need as their Internet requirements grow."

Internet Valet comes with a concise reference manual and a QuickTour guide
designed to give Internet newcomers hands-on experience with each
application in less than an hour. Free, unlimited phone support is also
available once users register with Software Ventures Corporation.

According to Hindawi, "Lots of Mac users become discouraged when they find
out how truly difficult getting started on the Internet can be. Ask anyone
who has tried to configure MacTCP. Internet Valet is a quick, no-hassle
solution. It instantly connects you to the Internet, then walks you
through the basics of all the major Internet capabilities in a single
session."

                               Instant Setup

Internet Valet automatically installs and configures all the Apple standard
system software required for an Internet connection, which is necessary
for World Wide Web browsers and other Internet tools to run. A connection
may be established by modem through a PPP account or over a TCP/IP
network. Internet Valet also works with existing SLIP connections.

Once the system software is in place, the installer uses a simple dialog to
set up a free, two-week, unlimited-use PPP account with Performance
Systems International (PSI), a leading Internet service provider with
local phone access in most regions of the United States. Internet Valet
also can be configured quickly to work with other PPP services anywhere,
worldwide.

=46inally, the installer configures the individual Internet Valet software
applications and integrates them on an icon palette for easy, push-button
access.

                          Complete Set of Tools

Internet Valet includes a complete set of Internet tools, all accelerated
for Power Macintosh:

* Enhanced Mosaic - a new version of the World Wide Web browser that
  started it all.
* Eudora - the industry standard for electronic mail.
* NewsWatcher - the leading Internet news reader.
* Fetch - the most widely-used file transfer application on the
  Internet.
* TurboGopher - for search and retrieval of files from Gopher sites.
* MicroPhone Telnet - the standard for terminal access to Internet
  computers.

                          Internet QuickTour

The core piece of documentation for Internet Valet is a QuickTour that
takes users on a virtual trip to exotic destinations on the Internet. In
the process, users learn how to exchange e-mail, download files, browse
newsgroups, search out information on Gopher servers and explore the
sights, sounds, and many multimedia surprises that the World Wide Web
holds.

Says Hindawi, "Internet Valet is the product many Mac owners have been
clamoring for. Here,in a single box, we packaged industry-standard
software, great documentation, instant set up, instant connection with a
national service provider, free two-week use of the Internet and free
technical support - all under $50. In fact, I believe this makes Internet
Valet irresistible even to power users."

                          System Requirements

Internet Valet will run on 68000-series computers and is accelerated for
Power Macintosh computers. It requires System 7 or higher, 2 MB of free
RAM, 8 MB of hard disk space, modem (14,400 bps or higher recommended) or
