CRYSTALEYES USED IN 3D DESIGN OF SOLAR RACE CAR FOR UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS

CrystalEyes Stereo 3D Glasses Aid Stereoscopic Visualization for Virtual
Prototype of Solar Race Team

San Rafael, CA -- May 22, 1995 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
leading supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
announced today its participation with the Texas Solar Race Team of the
College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. The team is
designing and building a solar-powered car for Sunrayce 95.

With the use of CrystalEyes eyewear, the team will incorporate the same
concept as large automotive manufacturers which use virtual reality
technology to help evaluate mathematical models of products without
building physical prototypes.

Using CrystalEyes eyewear dramatically increases the user's ability to
analyze complex graphics and intricate design details which has aided the
modeling of the Texas Solar Race Car. The eyewear, linked to the
stereo-ready computer monitor and the user, converts the PC into a
state-of-the-art graphics platform for true 3D visualization.

The Texas Solar Race Team is a University of Texas student organization
devoted to providing students with the opportunity to design, construct,
test, and race a solar-powered car in various events. They plan to compete
against over 40 other collegiate teams in the Sunrayce 95, a 1300 mile
race over public roads from Indianapolis, Indiana to Colorado Springs,
Colorado. The event, which is held June 20-29, 1995, is a nine day stage
race requiring each competitor to cover a scheduled distance each day. The
winner will be determined by the total distance covered in the lowest
elapsed time.

With the help of CrystalEyes eyewear, the model of the solar-powered car
facilitates creating a physical model, simulates aerodynamics, visualizes
component fit within the body, and renders the car in true 3D. The
computer model also lends continuity for the design and testing of the car
which will be used in a 3D-generated wind tunnel for aerodynamic analysis.
This accurately rendered image ensures that all internal parts fit
together.

As comfortable and convenient as a pair of glasses, lightweight CrystalEyes
produces a true 3D image used with projection screens and computer
monitors. The patented CrystalEyes is the only economical eyewear to
produce true, flicker-free, full color depth perception demanded by the
precise tasks performed on today's modern electro-stereoscopic displays.

StereoGraphics' patented CrystalEyes depth perception products utilize true
3D stereo to improve and dramatize viewing. CrystalEyes products provide
stereo viewing for scientific visualization, animation, medical imaging.
surgical endoscopy, molecular modeling, computer games, photogrammetry,
location based entertainment, motion simulation, inspection systems,
remote vehicle control, flight simulation, corporate presentations and all
types of education and training.

CrystalEyes products are available with or for most major stereo-ready
workstations, personal computers, monitors and software programs.
Platforms include such major workstation OEMs as Silicon Graphics, Inc.,
Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corp., Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Kubota
Graphics Corp. Personal computers include IBM PC and compatibles,
Macintosh, Power Mac and Power PC, and Amiga. Stereo-ready monitors
include NEC, Hitachi, Sony, Philips, Mitsubishi, Radius and Rasterops.

StereoGraphics Corp., founded in 1980, invented and developed the market
for modern stereo imaging hardware, and is the leading 3D enabler,
restoring normal vision to a diverse and broad imaging universe. Due to
its capability, reasonable price and state-of-the-art technology backed by
15 patents, CrystalEyes is accepted as the industry standard for stereo
viewing. StereoGraphics is located at 2171 East Francisco Boulevard, San
Rafael, California 94901, phone 415/459-4500, fax 415/459-3020, email
