ISDN INTERNET ACCESS VIA PRODIGY!

With IBM'S WaveRunner Offering Digital and Analog communications Over a
Single Line

May 10, 1995 -- Prodigy members will be able to access the Internet twice
as fast as 28.8 bps through an arrangement announced today with IBM,
Prodigy, BellSouth, NYNEX, and Pacific Bell.

With IBM's high performance 7845/Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
WaveRunner modem, members in select areas of San Jose and Woodland Hills,
CA, Boston and Nashville can connect to the Information Superhighway at
speeds up to 64 kilobits per second (Kbps).

The agreement represents the first time a major online data services
provider has offered the WaveRunner modem to its subscribers as a gateway
to ISDN services; it also marks the first time that Prodigy has offered
ISDN access to its members.

Using the IBM ISDN WaveRunner modem (specially priced at $495 for Prodigy
members starting in May),together with the high speed and broad bandwidth
of an ISDN telephoneline, members can access Prodigy faster than ever.

Within seconds, members can make travel arrangements, surf the World Wide
Web, transfer money into and out of checking accounts, retrieve
information fromlibraries and other sources along the Information
Superhighway andaccess the full range of Prodigy services.

ISDN technology -- considered to be the next generation of telephone
service for voice, video and data communication -- achieves high speeds by
transporting digital rather than analog signals. In addition, an ISDN line
consists of three channels rather than the single channel of a traditional
phone line, enabling Prodigy members to download files while talking on
the phone.

For those Prodigy customers seeking to expand their high-speed
communications networking capability beyond the Prodigy service, an
upgrade package for the 7845/WaveRunner to a full-function (128
Kbps)WaveRunner, will be available for purchase in June. This
upgradedversion will allow users to achieve the upper limit of
communicationsand benefit from the expanded bandwidth provided by ISDN
while takingadvantage of a wide range of emerging applications.

The 7845 is a fully-programmable ISDN network terminator allowing digital
communications at 64 (to PRODIGY) or 128 Kbps (to other ISDN devices). A
rechargeable battery provides backup power to the analog telephones during
electrical power outages, providing the user with the additional security
of knowing he can use his telephone equipment even if an outage disrupts
the electrical power to his home or office -- exactly as if it were
conventional analog service powered by the telephone company's central
office.

The full-function WaveRunner can communicate with analog equipment, such as
modems and fax machines over the same "B" channel, allowing users to have
ISDN access to Prodigy or other ISDN devices, and stillbe able to access
their current analog and fax destinations.

Recognized in the data communications industry for its performance and
