FRANKENSTEIN: THROUGH THE EYES OF THE MONSTER

MACPLAY PREVIEWS FRANKENSTEIN: THROUGH THE EYES OF THE MONSTER STARRING TIM
CURRY AT THE ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPO

May 11, 1995 -- Irvine, California -- MacPlay, the Macintosh division of
Interplay Productions, will preview Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The
Monster at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in booth #1413. Combining
character interaction and puzzle-solving to create an emotionally-driven
experience, Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster will be
available for Mac gamers from MacPlay this summer.

"With a compelling storyline and intriguing game play, combined with the
talent of Tim Curry, this is a sure-fire hit," said Jennifer Mattox,
product marketing manager of MacPlay. "If you liked Myst, you will love
Frankenstein!"

Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster is an all-new 3D interactive
adventure loosely based on the Mary Shelley classic. Starring Tim Curry as
the diabolical Dr. Frankenstein, the classic premise of "man creates
monster" takes on a new twist in this gothic tale as the player
experiences the game from the point-of-view of the grotesquely disfigured
monster.

With a bolt of lightning and a crack of thunder, the monster awakens in the
heart of a great storm. Brought back to life by the sinister Dr.
Frankenstein, the only thing he clearly remembers is being hanged for a
crime which he did not commit. Dealing with issues of mortality and man's
right to tamper with the forces of existence, the player must begin a
quest for the truth to discover what has happened to himself and his young
daughter.

Developed by Amazing Media, Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster
is set in an enormous 3D compound with Dr. Frankenstein's castle,
catacombs and gardens as well as secret passageways. The CD-ROM is packed
to its limits with stunning state-of-the-art graphics, extremely realistic
3D rendered worlds, seamlessly-integrated live-action video, and digitized
voices. Chilling plot twists, changing dialogue and multiple plot endings
will leave each player with a different experience each time.

Detailed, complex puzzles and "physical mysteries" challenge the player in
new and unique ways. "Similar interactive adventure games have relied on
puzzle-based challenges which are often based on sheer luck," explains
MacPlay's Ken Allen, senior producer of the title. "The challenges the
player encounters in Frankenstein are mainly based on gaining knowledge
within the context of the game and require the player's mastery of the
environment. All skill levels -- from the novice to the most avid gamer --
will find this a satisfying experience."

Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The Monster was created on the Macintosh
platform, first and foremost for Mac gamers. The program will run on any
256-color Macintosh with 2500K free memory and a double-speed CD-ROM
drive. A 68040 processor or faster is recommended. It will also be
available for the IBM platform from Interplay Productions in the third
quarter of 1995.
