INTERPLAY ANNOUNCES TITLES FOR SEGA 32X NEXT GENERATION GAME MACHINES AT
CES

(Company To Release Selected SEGA/SNES Titles In '95)

Irvine, California --Interplay Productions has entered the next generation
of dedicated game platform software with the announcement of its slate of
titles for the first half of 1995. Included in the line-up are titles for
SEGA's 32X and other advanced dedicated game platforms based on Steven
Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment/Universal Pictures release "Casper".
Interplay also announced plans to release C2:Judgment Clay, Blackthorne
and Alone In The Dark for SEGA's 32X system. Interplay will also release
selected titles for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and SEGA
Genesis.

"This is a transitional phase in the video game business as we go from
cartridge to CD based game platforms," said Brian Fargo, Interplay's
president and CEO. "We are very enthusiastic with the opportunities
presented with these new game systems, but Interplay will continue to
release selected 16-bit titles as we introduce our new generation software
for advanced systems."

Scheduled for release in the first half of 1995 are C2:Judgment Clay, Star
Trek: Starfleet Academy, The Bridge Simulator and Boogerman for the Super
Nintendo Entertainment System. More titles for 16-bit machines will be
announced at a later date.

Based on Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment/Universal Pictures release
"Casper", and inspired by the original comic book from Harvey Comics,
Interplay will produce a video game for SEGA's 32X. The movie combines
live action and computer generated animation. Casper for 32X will be
available in the third quarter of 1995.

Planting a tongue firmly in the corporate cheek, Interplay presents one of
the most anticipated sequels, C2:Judgment Clay. This follow-up to last
Christmas' surprise hit Clay Fighter, packs lots of clay fighting action
and will star nine new fighting characters, in addition to the return of
favorites Blob & Bad Mister Frosty from Clay Fighter. Using a new combat
engine, C2 features more than twice the animation of the original Clay
Fighter and tons more clay along with secret characters and special
combos.

In a strange and timeless land the adventure that is Blackthorne unfolds in
a game that pits good vs. evil. Born in a war long ago this
action/adventure reaches new levels of intensity as players begin the
quest to recover the throne that is rightfully Kyle Blackthorne's. In the
end, players must face Sarlac and his minions in the ultimate final
battle.

Using an advanced method of rotoscoping, Blackthorne adds new realism to
character animation and incredible, digitized sound effects for the 32X.
Through four fantasy/sci-fi enriched worlds, Blackthorne must battle the
hi-tech firepower of Sarlac and his minions armed only with his strength,
speed, cunning and an imposing shotgun.

Named 'Adventure Game Of The Year' by Computer Gaming World and the winner
of the 'Golden Triad Award' from Computer Game Review, Alone In The Dark
places players in the horrific and terrifying world of Jeremy Hartwood's
life. Players must decide whether Jeremy was a victim of suicide or
something more sinister. Around every corner are hideous, hidden monsters
that come at the player when least expected and they become life-like with
cinematic zooms, pans, closeups and scaling.

Inspired by the macabre imagination of H.P. Lovecraft, Alone In The Dark
3DO is more chilling than ever for 32X. All the dreaded secrets and
unspeakable evils of Derceto come to life in heightened reality and
cinematic power.
