IS NETRUNNER A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE?

INTERPLAY'S BIG BUDGET CD-ROM DEBUTS AT E3

Irvine, California -- Interplay Productions unveiled their next
multi-million dollar CD-ROM production featuring Hollywood actors and
screenwriters today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
Aptly named, NetRunner (formerly known as Cyberhood) is Interplay's
futuristic adventure which takes the players on a mind-bending search for
the hero's father from a corporate hell into the depths of cyberspace.

"We like to think of NetRunner as having the feel of a future-shock world
not unlike the movie Clockwork Orange," said Brian Fargo, president of
Interplay. "Although it may be strange and sometimes twisted, it also has
a sharp wit about it as well and it carries a message about our own
times."

An interactive cinematic adventure that includes over two hours of
blue-screen video and a real-time 3D engine, NetRunner is set in the year
2525, and after the ultimate corporate takeover, society has fallen into
darkness. The digital world has become the realm of slaves. As the
NetRunner, players become an unlikely hero in a world where everyone hates
the NetRunner, and the players try to survive the ultimate cyber
adventure.

The script for NetRunner was crafted by veteran Hollywood scribe Martin
Olson, who has over 70 television shows to his credit. For the past 10
years, he has worked in virtually every field of television writing,
including network sitcoms, comedy specials, animations and an
award-winning PBS series. NetRunner is Olson's first interactive project.
Olson was awarded an ACE Award for his work on Kevin Meany's London
Underground Special.

NetRunner features an eclectic cast of Hollywood actors including Brian
Gaskill, formerly of TVs Models Inc., and is expected to be released first
quarter 1996.

Formerly known as Cyberhood, it's Robin Hood meets Blade Runner in this
cyberpunk thriller where the ultimate thrill is to experience soul searing
intense emotions a la virtual reality. This categorically state-of-the-art
thrill experience is the future where tensions run high and emotions run
wild in a world where life is only as exciting as the last intense
experience. Players will plunge into this pervasive plot and become
immersed into the seamless well consummating in a perfect balance of
horror and comedy.

An interactive cinematic adventure that includes over 2 hours of
blue-screen video, NetRunner is set in the future where guns are no more
and the weapon of choice is the most advanced artificial intelligence
available on the market and to the highest bidder. A hackers dream, the
protagonist in this hi-tech thriller is the son of the rich founder of the
cyberspace revolution who spear-headed his way through the mega
conglomerate, the Kruz Corporations.

NetRunner will be available from Interplay in the fourth quarter 1995 for
IBM and 100% compatibles.
