GRAPHIX ZONE DEBUTS THE IMPROV PRESENTS WINDOWS 95 FOR THE TECHNICALLY
CHALLENGED

Users Can Laugh While They Learn

IRVINE, Calif., April 27, 1995--Graphix Zone, Inc. (NASDAQ:GZON), a
multimedia expert and leading publisher of interactive CD-ROMs, will give
a sneak preview of its latest interactive CD-ROM, The Improv Presents
Windows 95 For The Technically Challenged, in booth #5218, Petree Hall, at
the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles May 11-13, 1995.
Scheduled for release in September 1995, the $39.95 edutainment title will
provide a complete how-to guide to computers with an emphasis on Windows
95.

The Improv Presents Windows 95 For The Technically Challenged is the first
collaboration in a series of edutainment CD-ROMs incorporating the
innovative spirit of two leading pioneers in their respective fields:
Graphix Zone, a leader in multimedia and CD-ROM publishing, and The
Improv, the "king" of comedy clubs.

With the imminent release of Microsoft's highly-anticipated Windows 95
operating system, Graphix Zone sought out The Improv Comedy Club to make a
very thorough computer tutorial that also made learning fun. "Laughter is
the best teacher," said Chuck Cortright, Graphix Zone president and chief
executive officer. "We've created the hilarious way to learn computers and
Windows 95 by combining Improv comedians and comedy writers with the power
of multimedia--all within the entertaining setting of a virtual 3D Improv
Comedy Club."

The disc is designed to accommodate all skill levels, from the "technically
challenged" to advanced users. Seated at a front row table in The Improv's
famous showroom, users can select comedy-interlaced lessons from the
club's menu.

"I was the proverbial computer-phobic going into this," said Budd Friedman,
the Improv's founder. "But as this project moves along, I find I'm being
gently nudged into the cyber-generation. I believe this CD-ROM will be
great for people who want to learn how to use computers because it
substitutes laughter for drudgery in the learning process. I believe it
will be good for The Improv because it will bring our brand of comedy to a
whole new audience."

The CD-ROM is currently in production and is slated for release in
September 1995. It will be sold through consumer electronics and computer
retail outlets.

Founded in 1989, Graphix Zone develops and markets interactive multimedia
products and services. In addition to being a producer and publisher of
CD-ROM titles, the company is also known for its Multimedia Production
division, which produces custom multimedia projects for leading domestic
and international corporate, government and institutional clients. The
company's New Media Group educates organizations and consumers in the uses
of multimedia on behalf of leading manufacturers of multimedia hardware
and software.

Earlier this year the company released its second music title, Bob Dylan:
Highway 61 Interactive, which sold over 45,000 copies in the first month
and received critical acclaim. Released in July 1994, the company's
(Prince) Interactive CD-ROM won several awards including Multimedia
World's Reader's Choice Award for Best Interactive Music Title and, with
over 70,000 units sold, is currently the world record holder in
interactive music CD-ROM sales. The company's first title, The Guided Tour
of Multimedia, was the first tutorial to use multimedia to teach
multimedia, and is bundled with the IDG best seller Multimedia For
Dummies.

Budd Friedman opened the first Improv in Manhattan in 1963, then a second
club in Los Angeles in 1975. Joined by his partner Mark Londow in 1980,
the Improv now has 11 clubs around the country. The Los Angeles location
is the home of the syndicated television series An Evening at the Improv,
broadcast on the A&E network for the past ten years.
