DIAMOND'S STEALTH64 VIDEO 3200 MULTIMEDIA ACCELERATOR COMBINES GRAPHICS
ACCELERATION WITH DIGITAL VIDEO SCALING

2 Megabyte VRAM, PCI Subsystem Value-Priced at $319

ATLANTA, GA, April 24, 1995 -- Today at Spring Comdex, Diamond Multimedia
(NASDAQ: DIMD) introduced a new addition to its family of Stealth64 Video
multimedia accelerators -- the Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200. Available
with 2MB of VRAM for the PCI bus, the Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 is
currently shipping to distributors, computer retailers and mass merchants
for an estimated retail price (ERP) of $319.

By combining high-performance graphics and full-screen digital video
playback, including software MPEG-1, the Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200
provides a boost in system performance for Windows and DOS applications,
as well as graphics-intensive desktop publishing, CAD and digital video
software applications.

"Diamond's Stealth64 Video 3200 is the perfect accelerator for those who
want Stealth performance with VRAM at a value price," said Ken Comstock,
director of graphics/video product marketing for Diamond Multimedia.
"Stealth64 performance means award-winning, fast graphics, photo-realistic
color, high refresh rates, Diamond InControl Tools multimedia desktop
productivity software, and support for multiple operating systems
including Windows, DOS and OS/2 Warp. Additionally, the Diamond Stealth64
Video 3200 allows users to take advantage of the latest in games,
interactive CD-ROM movies and business applications that use digital video
and multimedia functionality."

Excellent Graphics Performance

Utilizing the S3 Vision968 graphics engine and a Texas Instruments 175 MHz
RAMDAC, the Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 supports 256 colors at 1600x1200
resolution, 65,536 colors at 1024x768, 16.7 million colors at up to
800x600, and provides ergonomic, flicker-free refresh rates of up to
120Hz. High resolutions and high color depths are particularly useful for
desktop publishing, document image processing and CAD applications on
large screen monitors.

Smooth, Video Scaling

Entertainment and business applications are rapidly incorporating MPEG-1
digital video clips. The Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 allows users to view
these new applications in Windows by providing acceleration and
full-screen playback of popular video CODEC (compression/decompression)
formats including MPEG-1, Indeo 3.2, Cinepak and MS Video 1.

The Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 displays smooth, realistic video in a
full-screen up to 1280x1024 resolution. It is powered by the S3 Vision968
accelerator, which has incorporated digital video acceleration into the
graphics engine using X and Y interpolation, and color space conversion to
provide smooth, realistic video images at up to 30 frames-per-second.

Powerful Multimedia Software Interface

In order to easily take advantage of the multimedia functionalities of the
PC, the Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 includes Diamond's InControl Tools
productivity software operating under Windows 3.1 to control the
multimedia functions of the accelerator while providing complete desktop
management. This intuitive software utility provides audio and video
controls such as: video playback quality and frame rate, and audio play
and volume adjustment. General desktop functions include "on-the-fly"
resolution switching, monitor frequency selection, programmable keyboard
and mouse hotkeys, color correction, real-time screen centering, DPI
calibration, custom cursor color and size, and custom icon font size.

Multiple Operating System Support

The Diamond Stealth64 Video 3200 currently includes driver support for
Windows 3.1, Windows NT 3.5, Windows for WorkGroups 3.11, and IBM OS/2
2.11-3.0(Warp). Also included are AutoCAD (ADI 4.2) drivers with support
for AutoShade 2.0 with RenderMan, AutoCAD r10/386, r11, r12 and r13 as
well as drivers for MicroStation 4.0 and 5.0, 3D Studio r1, r2, r3, and
r4.

Warranty and Service

As with all of Diamond's graphics and multimedia accelerators, the Diamond
Stealth64 Video 3200 is backed by a five-year parts and labor warranty and
unlimited technical support. Technical assistance by phone is available
six days a week and through the 24-hour Diamond BBS (bulletin board
service), CompuServe section and America Online forums. Diamond also
maintains an Internet World Wide Web Server and FTP site.
