DELL PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH LEARNING TOOLS FOR THE INFORMATION AGE

HARTFORD, CT, May 8, 1995 -- Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL) today
announced that it has been selected to automate the Hartford Public
Schools with a complete network of Dell computers.

Through a relationship with Education Alternatives Incorporated, an
education management firm, Dell will team with Computer Curriculum
Corporation, a leading provider of K-12 educational software. Dell will
provide Hartford students with new Dell OptiPlex desktop and PowerEdge
server systems, while Computer Curriculum Corporation will provide its
SuccessMaker courseware.

To further demonstrate their commitment to putting computers in the
classroom, Dell and Computer Curriculum Corporation will be visiting
Hartford area schools on May 9-11 to meet with students, parents and
community leaders and to give away a multimedia-equipped Dell OptiPlex
desktop computer.

"Dell is pleased to be part of an initiative that provides K-12th grade
students with the opportunity to learn online -- with tools that permit
access to the global information network," said George Warren, Dell

K-12 marketing manager. "We believe that as computer-based learning becomes
more pervasive, students will be the true beneficiaries."

When the new systems are in place, students will be able to conduct course
work online with the most advanced computer-based learning tools. With
Computer Curriculum Corporation's SuccessMaker multimedia courseware,
students benefit from individualized instruction; teachers meanwhile can
assess student needs, track progress and measure results efficiently.

For example, as students complete their assignments, teachers will be able
to quickly tabulate grades, while electronically pin pointing specific
areas where students may require further study.

"Dell is committed to the education marketplace and we'll continue to
explore opportunities that enhance the learning experience through the use
of technology," said Mr. Warren. "In fact, our

K-12 segment is one of the fastest growing segments of Dell's business."

The Dell OptiPlex and PowerEdge products are attractive to public school
programs such as Hartford Public Schools because the systems deliver true
functionality at a competitive price and are backed by Dell's
comprehensive service and support programs. In addition, the Dell systems
are certified as compatible with leading education software sold by
education market leaders such as Computer Curriculum Corporation and
McGraw Hill.

A Fortune Global 500 company, Dell Computer Corporation designs, develops,
manufactures, markets, services and supports a complete line of personal
computers compatible with industry standards. With annual revenues of
nearly $3.5 billion, Dell is the world's leading direct marketer of
personal computers and one of the top five personal computer manufacturers
in the world. Information on the company and its products can be obtained
