TrackMan Vista Brings New Form Factor to Logitech's Family of Desktop and
Portable Trackballs

Newest Desktop Pointing Device Features Comfortable Shape, Finger Control,
Assignable Buttons Using Enhanced MouseWare Software

Fremont, Calif.--February 13, 1995--Logitech Inc., international market
leader in computer mice and alternative pointing devices for the PC,
announces TrackMan Vista, a finger-operated desktop trackball designed to
provide users with a broader range of choices by supplementing the
company's existing line of thumb-operated models. Scheduled to ship in
March 1995, TrackMan Vista will be sold through Logitech dealers and
distributors at an estimated street price of $89 (U.S.).

TrackMan Vista features a rounded shape that slopes to support the hand and
wrist. Its finger-operated ball -- larger than the thumb-operated ball on
existing TrackMan products but smaller than those found in competing palm
trackballs -- is easy to control. The unique placement of the unit's three
buttons, which include a primary button under the thumb position and two
additional buttons beside the ball, minimizes hand and finger motion. The
product is plug-and-play ready, with the ability to hot plug under Windows
'95, and offers automatic identification and configuration per device.

"Since the introduction of the original TrackMan in 1990, Logitech has
emerged as the market leader in desktop trackballs and a technological
pioneer in this area," says Aldo Bussien, Business Director for Pointing
Devices. "Our initial success was due in large part to the unique
thumb-operated form factor; however, our research shows that there are
many users who are more comfortable with finger- or palm-controlled
alternatives. In fact, today's entire desktop trackball market is split
roughly 50-50 between end-users who prefer thumb-operated trackballs and
those who prefer finger- or palm- operated alternatives TrackMan Vista
meets the needs of this broader market by offering customers a choice of
form factor while maintaining Logitech's commitment to leading-edge
technology, hand-conforming comfort, and attractive design.

TrackMan Vista will ship with Logitech's MouseWare software, which allows
users to assign time-saving shortcuts to the second and third buttons and
customize the unit for individual needs. Assignable functions include
double-click, drag-lock, cut, paste, close application, and many others.
Users can also change the primary button from the thumb default to either
of the remaining two buttons. All customizing is done from within the
MouseWare Enhanced Control Center window.

System requirements for TrackMan Vista include an IBM-compatible system,
DOS 3.3 or higher, and an available serial- or mouse port.
