Subtle Software announces Release 1.5 of Subtleware for C++, an open
toolset and portable class library that simplifies using relational
database management systems with C++ applications.

Unlike database class libraries, Subtleware for C++ completely supports the
C++ object model and generates all the database "glue" code needed to map
C++ objects to and from relational databases.

Subtleware for C++ provides the object capabilities and benefits of an
OODBMS while allowing users to share data with and retain their
investments in relational database management systems, tools, and
applications.

Release 1.5 adds support for ad-hoc queries, persistent pointers, and
persistent collections as well as the ability to generate C++ class
definitions from relational database schema. Release 1.5 also extends
direct database support to include Oracle and Sybase in addition to
Subtleware's existing support of ODBC, ANSI SQL, and Watcom SQL.

Release 1.5 of Subtleware for C++ is available for Windows, DOS, HP-UX, and
Sun Solaris.
