Activision and Sony Team up in European Deal

LOS ANGELES -- Activision, Inc. has entered into a European distribution
agreement with Sony Electronic Publishing for Activision's current video
game releases. Sony will be responsible for the sales, marketing, and
distribution of selected Activision video games throughout Europe.

The initial deal includes three video games to be released and distributed
during this Christmas season: Radical Rex, for Sega Genesis and CD;
X-Kalibur 2097 for SNES; and Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure for SNES,
Genesis and Sega CD. Sony will also manage the pan-European distribution
for BattleTech for SNES. Other titles may be added to the agreement at a
later date. The company expects to ship over 200,000 units under this
agreement.
