PROCESS SOFTWARE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES WEB SERVER FOR WINDOWS NT

Secure, Easy-to-Use, and Fully Supported Web Server Enables Organizations
to Develop a Presence on the Internet and More

FRAMINGHAM, MA, February 7, 1995 -- Process Software Corporation, a leading
provider of TCP/IP-based solutions, today announced Purveyor Version 1.0,
its World Wide Web (WWW) server product for Windows NT and future Win32
platforms such as Windows 95. The initial release of the product will run
on Intel platforms, as well as Digital Equipment Corporation's Alpha RISC
processors, running Windows NT 3.5 and above.

Purveyor allows corporations to publish public and confidential multimedia
information on the Internet as well as their corporate LANs, all with the
ease-of-use of Windows NT. Using the sample forms and templates included
in the product, organizations can easily publish information such as
product briefs, and corporate or product news on the Internet in a user
friendly electronic format. Organizations can also use Purveyor to take
advantage of interactive marketing strategies such as on-line advertising,
product promotions, and sales literature fulfillment.

Equally important, organizations may use Purveyor on their local area
network to increase and promote internal communications. For example,
organizations can easily disseminate and instantly update corporate
information such as employee handbooks and on-line training courses.
Furthermore, Purveyor's point and click security features enable
confidential information sharing and delivery within different
departments, e.g., Human Resources and Accounting. This permits these
departments to integrate their new and existing LAN applications, such as
employee records and payroll processing.

By tracking and adhering to emerging industry standards, Purveyor affords
users an open solution allowing them maximum flexibility in supporting
heterogeneous networking environments.

Purveyor features point and click security access control fully integrated
with the Windows NT File Manager, and full logging and report facilities.
In addition, Purveyor's graphical user interface maintains the Windows
"look and feel", and on-line documentation gives users instant access to
the information they need to become productive quickly.

"Purveyor allows corporations, regardless of their size or market, to
develop and create their own identity on the Internet," said Chris
McIntosh, senior product marketing manager, Process Software Corporation.
"It's a powerful tool which helps companies communicate quickly,
efficiently, and cost-effectively with both internal and external
audiences."

HIGHLIGHTS OF PURVEYOR VERSION 1.0

Feature highlights of Purveyor include:

Flexible and Robust User Security

Purveyor offers organizations a highly flexible and secure environment
which is fully integrated into the Windows File Manager. It provides the
functionality necessary to restrict access to individual HTML pages based
on IP address, username, or both. This allows servers to be custom
tailored for access by groups such as company employees or external users
accessing specific information that may be restricted to authorized
customers only.

Sample HTML Web Pages and Forms

Purveyor provides sample HTML Web pages and Forms for use with the Common
Gateway Interface (CGI), a flexible mechanism for supporting end-user
developed applications via the Web server. This enables database, email,
and forms based applications to be implemented with the Web server.
Fulfillment of product literature requests, bug reports destined for
customer service, and other on-line information requests are easily
instituted. Purveyor not only supports CGI, but it provides these sample
application programs which can be easily customized for an organization's
environment.

Logging Facilities Support

Transaction logging information is provided by Purveyor. This includes
time, date, HTML page, and the IP address of the requester. This type of
information is invaluable to users providing product information pages,
downloadable software, or other services where frequency and identity of
requesters are important. The flexible report generator displays the
captured data according to an organization's needs.

Full Protocol Support

Purveyor supports the latest versions of the Hyper Text Transport Protocol
(HTTP) and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), enabling it to support all
popular Web browsers such as Mosaic. In addition, proxy server support is
provided for http, ftp, and gopher protocols. By tracking these industry
standards, users are ensured full compatibility.

Runs as an Windows NT "Service"

Purveyor will run without having a specific user logged into the console
system. In addition, it is managed by the NT "Services" menu of the
Windows NT Control Panel. This interface is familiar to NT administrators,
allowing them to start, stop, and modify server features and operation
easily.

Purveyor supports all industry standard browsers including the Basic
Authentication security implementation. In addition, Process Software is
an active member in industry consortia including the W3C and CommerceNet,
both of which are helping to set leading Internet standards.

As with all of Process Software's product offerings, Purveyor is fully
supported by the company's comprehensive maintenance and support program,
TCPcare. Process Software's full range of TCPcare services include
installation and consulting expertise, as well as available 24-hour
customer support.
