NeXT ENCOURAGES CUSTOMERS TO ACCESS INFORMATION AND SUPPORT USING NEW WORLD
WIDE WEB SITE

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - January 31, 1995 - NeXT Computer, Inc. today
announced that it now provides information and solutions to customers via
the World Wide Web. Through its site - http://www.next.com/ - customers
can access information about the company, its products and services, as
well as access technical support from NeXTanswers, NeXT's technical
support free information retrieval system.

NeXT's interactive Web site provides links to NeXT partners' home pages,
including HP, SUN and Digital, and offers links to the published OpenStep
specification, the industry-endorsed object standard. Additionally,
through the Web site customers can obtain technical information and
support, such as compatibility guides, software patches and drivers.

"At CERN, I developed the first client and server WorldWideWeb.app using
NEXTSTEP in two months in 1990," said Tim Berners-Lee, who now directs the
W3 Consortium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. "It was a
combination of NEXTSTEP's object oriented environment, neat development
tools, and a more powerful class library which made it possible - so it's
great to see NeXT on the Web themselves".

"NEXTSTEP is the fastest way to build custom applications to vend products
and services on the Web," said Steven P. Jobs, chairman and CEO of NeXT
Computer, Inc. "Our distributed objects can even talk to each other
transparently over the Internet."

Additionally, at the inaugural Web World Conference and Exposition, in
Orlando, Florida, January 30-31, and the combined Web World and EMail
World, in Santa Clara, April 19-21, 1995, Pages Software will demonstrate
WebPages by Pages, the first fully WYSIWYG HTML editor, running under
NEXTSTEP.
