Tony La Russa Baseball 3 CD-ROM Game

Stormfront Studios Releases First Comprehensive Multimedia Baseball Game

SAN RAFAEL, CA, February 1, 1995--Stormfront Studios today announced the
spring release of Tony La Russa Baseball 3, the first multimedia baseball
game to take full advantage of CD-ROM technology to integrate hi-res
graphics, 3D models, photographs, digitized speech, music and video.

The company has spent almost two years since the introduction of Tony La
Russa Baseball 2 creating a next-generation version that is new in every
way. With a versatile and user-friendly install program, this is the
closest a DOS CD-ROM title has gotten to "plug 'n' play."

"Now there's a baseball game that's visually dazzling for the action game
player and strategic enough for the seasoned fan who wants the most
accurate and authentic baseball experience," said Don Daglow, founder of
Stormfront Studios.

Stormfront Studios is pushing the technology envelope once again by
creating the fastest, most accurate baseball simulator on the market. The
award-winning, graphics-rich La Russa series has sold more than half a
million copies to date and has consistently been ranked as the best
baseball game by leading game magazines.

Pennant-winning manager Tony La Russa has continued to work with Stormfront
Studios' designers on this third version of the game, creating a precise
statistical model and an unparalleled ballpark experience.

"When we created the original game engine, we approached Tony to help us
develop the artificial intelligence for the game," said Daglow. "We wanted
to make the most authentic game possible because we felt that great
graphics and great artificial intelligence are the ingredients of a really
special game."

"My managing instincts are culled from events on the playing field, not the
computer," said La Russa. "But when I was introduced to Stormfront
Studios' definitive computer baseball simulation game and asked to join
the development team, I accepted the challenge. They really know
baseball."

Tony La Russa Baseball 3 features TV-style graphics with 256-color hi-res
screens to present all 28 major league stadium in richly detailed 3D
models. Video-rendered professional player animations, three digitized
announcer voices led by Hall of Famer Mel Allen and veteran announcers Lon
Simmons and Hank Greenwald, and the latest complete major league
statistics are other major features.

Tony La Russa Baseball 3 reaches beyond all other baseball games with
complete offensive and defensive stats for every MLBPA player, along with
digitized color photos that really look like photographs. For players who
want complete up-to-date gameplay, statistics may be downloaded via modem
throughout the season.

In addition to its richly detailed video animations, Tony La Russa Baseball
3 has been enhanced with two selectable camera angles, to watch each pitch
behind the plate or from center field, complementing the real television
feel of the game. The player will almost duck out of the way of a high
hard one as it screams toward the plate.

A General Manager feature lets the player manage aging veterans and
promising rookies through future seasons. For the player who wonders what
his favorite team's roster will look like five or ten years from now, this
game provides an opportunity for the user to see how he or she would do as
a General Manager.

This game's powerful statistical engine lets the player set up any number
of scenarios, then replays the complete season in less than fifteen
minutes. Comprehensive draft functions, rotisserie draft options and video
tips from La Russa round out every baseball enthusiasts' gaming
experience.

Tony La Russa Baseball 3 IBM CD-ROM will be distributed by Electronic Arts
through its Affiliated Label Division for a street price of $59.95.

San Rafael-based Stormfront Studios designs, develops and publishes
entertainment and education titles for the multimedia, video game, home
computer and interactive network markets. The company is privately held.
