Apple, IBM, Motorola Present the "PowerPC Park" at CeBIT '95

MUNICH, Germany/PARIS, France -- February 23, 1995 -- Apple, IBM and
Motorola will present a broad range of hardware and software solutions,
applications, operating systems and development tools for the PowerPC
microprocessor in a unique park setting at CeBIT '95 (March 8-15, Hanover,
Germany).

The PowerPC Park will feature more than 60 independent software and
hardware vendors in an indoor park setting complete with grass, trees,
flowers and a stream. Located in Hall 14, the PowerPC Park will be open on
all fair days between 7:30 and 19:30.

Dozens of applications for word processing, spread sheet analysis,
financial management, software development tools, and others will be
showcased on a variety of operating systems, including AIX, OS/2 for the
PowerPC, Mac OS, Solaris and Windows NT. The pavilion will feature an
array of PowerPC microprocessor-based systems from Apple, IBM, Motorola
and other vendors.

Designed to be a price/performance leader, the PowerPC RISC-based scalable
architecture addresses a wide range of computing requirements, from
portable and desktop computers, to midrange workstations and servers, to
multi-processing, and supercomputing systems.

The superior price/performance of PowerPC microprocessors will enable new
classes of advanced applications, including multimedia, graphics, speech
recognition, visualization, and collaborative computing to emerge that
will forever change the way people work. Both software and hardware
vendors are responding to the increased performance and capabilities of
the PowerPC architecture by developing new types of applications and
solutions, a number of which will be on display in the PowerPC Park at
CeBIT.
