its new Windows-based help desk management system, Resolution 1.0, at the
Support Services Expo '95 trade show in San Francisco, CA. March 5-8,
1995.

Resolution will provide two unique features not currently available from
other PC help desk vendors:

* A smart scheduling feature that employs a genetic algorithm to
  constantly generate or "evolve" efficient schedules for any number
  of technicians/specialists for use in responding to help desk calls.

  This algorithm utilizes traditional sets of criteria ranging from
  skill sets to availability of the support staff. However, it also
  integrates such processes of evolution as crossover and mutation to
  rapidly generate near optimal schedules in a fraction of the time
  required by traditional methods.

* An optional floor layout module that provides an organization with
  an overhead view of its premises. Hot areas can be defined for any
  sized location, allowing a technician to click any area on a floor
  plan to retrieve everything from inventory to cabling information.

Other features include full call tracking capabilities, asset management,
purchasing and inventory modules, cable/wiring management, full featured
reporting, e-mail integration, and end-user customization.

Recognizing the fact that many companies will need to run client software
on a variety of hardware platforms, Resolution ships with a full featured
client and a "lite" version optimized for slower workstations.
