eWorld Hosts Court TV On-line with Detailed Coverage of Simpson Murder
Trial

Online shopping options expanded with Online Bookstore and Gourmet a la
ModeM; more fast modem connections available

CUPERTINO, California--February 2, 1995--Apple Computer, Inc. today
announced that Court TV's Law Center--the on-line equivalent of the
popular cable legal news network--has joined eWorld, the company's on-line
service. The on-line law center currently features a special area
dedicated to coverage of the O.J. Simpson murder trial, with
up-to-the-minute analysis of the latest developments, daily transcripts of
the proceedings, and all the key rulings. Additionally, Apple announced
that it has broadened its online shopping offerings with the addition of
On-line Bookstore and Gourmet a la ModeM. Separately, the company
announced that more than 250 U.S. cities now have 14.4 mps modem access to
eWorld. This extremely fast modem access is available at no additional
cost to eWorld users, and represents a notable cost- saving opportunity
for users who need to download large files or are heavy electronic mail
users.

The Court TV Law Center offers a comprehensive sweep of information that's
relevant to people interested in legal issues-- from laypeople involved in
legal proceedings to law students and scholars. In addition to program
guides, court documents, and transcripts of legal proceedings, the Law
Center features practical tips on the law, listings of legal resources,
legal games and discussion groups about the law. Not surprisingly, some of
the most popular discussions take place in the O.J. Simpson trial
area--with members voicing opinions ranging from who did a better job
during the opening statements to what is in "the mystery envelope."

The addition of two new shopping areas make eWorld a more attractive
offering to people who like the convenience of on-line shopping. eWorld is
finding that online shopping is an especially compelling shopping
alternative for busy parents, disabled people, rural residents, and people
who dislike the hassle of going to the mall or market. Specifically,
Online Bookstore offers thousands of general interest and computer books,
audio tapes and multimedia titles at discount prices.

Operated by READ USA Mail Order, Inc. of New York, the Online Bookstore
gives eWorld subscribers the opportunity to also talk online with authors,
participate in conferences, and browse through thousands of title
descriptions.

Gourmet a la ModeM lets people order gifts and delicacies online, including
caviar, cheese, coffee, condiments, cookies, lobster, oils, pasta, sausage
and tea from around the world. The service provides special seasonal
recipes and cooking discussions as well. Herb and Sarah Miller, gourmet
cooks and purveyors to the online world, are the creators of this very
unique on-line food bazaar and market.

eWorld is a powerful, yet easy-to-use, global family of on-line services
from Apple Computer, Inc., which include eWorld for Macintosh and
NewtonMail--eWorld's messaging service for Newton personal digital
assistants. Included on most Apple Macintosh computers, the software is
also available free to all U.S. Macintosh users by calling 1-800-775-4556.
A windows-based version of eWorld is expected to be available in 1995.
