Activision to Receive Advanced Royalty Checks

NEW YORK -- Activision Inc. will receive royalty advances of up to $5.5
million under an agreement that allows Bandai Visual Co. to distribute
Japanese-language versions of several Activision Infocom titles throughout
Japan. Activision has said that it will use the royalty advances to fund
the production of the games.

Under the agreement, Activision will retain full ownership of the
intellectual property and all distribution rights outside of Japan and
worldwide on all platforms not included in the agreements. The games to be
released under this agreement are Return to Zork, Planetfall, The Great
Game, and Zork 2: Nemesis for various next generation platforms including
Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn, 3DO, Windows CD, and Power Player.
