Andyne and Arbor Announce Partnership to bring cross-platform
multidimensional analysis to the desktop

Andyne's PaBLO to access Arbor's Essbase Analysis Server

February 14, 1995 -- Orlando, FL, The Data Warehousing Conference -- Andyne
Computing Limited of Kingston, Canada, and Arbor Software of Sunnyvale,
CA, announced today a cooperative development and marketing agreement as
part of Arbor's Essbase Ready Program. Andyne and Arbor customers now have
a one-stop OLAP solution that lets decision makers harness the power of
Essbase Analysis Server through Andyne PaBLO on Microsoft Windows or Apple
Macintosh desktops. A single copy of PaBLO for Windows is offered for a
limited time and an introductory price of just $350. Additional copies
cost $695, and volume discounts are available.

PaBLO provides decision makers with timely data access and analysis for
multidimensional data sources Unlike other multidimensional decision
support applications, PaBLO provides a scalable solution with an
easy-to-use visual interface. PaBLO for Microsoft Windows is also being
announced today.

Essbase is used for planning and analysis applications that require a
defined analytical structure and consolidate actual, projected, and
derived data, multi-user, read/write data access, and consistently last
response regardless of database size. Essbase operates effectively within
a data warehousing strategy or as a standalone, departmental solution. It
operates on servers running Microsoft NT and OS/2 across all major
networks connected to Windows and Macintosh clients. Pricing starts at
$43,250 for a multi seat, five-concurrent user license.

The Andyne-Essbase solution gives customers what experts call a Managed
Query Environment (MOE). An MQE synchronizes IS expertise and end-user
freedom: it provides enterprise-wide consistency and security harmonized
with decision makers' needs for flexibility and timely reporting.

A. Cameron Thompson, President and CEO of Andyne, stated, "We've chosen to
join the Essbase Ready Program so that we can provide speed and capacity
for data consolidation and complex calculations in a multi-user
client/server environment. Essbase complements PaBLO in that it reaches
the broad segment of the market that requires analysis of large volumes of
data for complex business planning and analysis applications."

"We're excited that Andyne has joined the Essbase Ready Program," said
James Dorrian, President and CEO of Arbor. "PaBLO lets users navigate
effortlessly through summarized business data. It's a highly visual report
metaphor that lets users see the relationships between multiple variables.
Decision makers can annotate, compare, calculate, and illustrate a
multitude of business variables on the fly. When they're ready, they can
integrate text, graphics, tables, and c harts, providing unlimited views
of their data. PaBLO complements the robust server capabilities contained
in Essbase."

The PaBLO/Essbase Advantage

As a result of today's announcement, customers of both companies gain
significant benefits. The primary benefits include:

Multi-platform support -- PaBLO clients running on Microsoft Windows 3.1,
Windows For Workgroups 3.11, 32-bit Windows NT, and Apple Macintosh System
7 are now able to access the Essbase server running on OS/2 or Windows
NT.

Scalability -- PaBLO HyperCubes are advanced multidimensional data

Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and Data Access Language (DAL). PaBLO
