ABC/EA Home Software's 3D Atlas Wins Top European Multimedia Awards

SAN MATEO, Calif.--February 21, 1995--In competition with 300 international
titles, ABC/EA Home Software's 3D Atlas won top honors as the Best
International CD-ROM program, plus the Best Information and Reference
CD-ROM program at the annual International EMMA Awards presented January
12, 1995, in Cannes, France.

3D Atlas is the first program to provide in-depth atlas information in a
multimedia environment for office, school or home. Users can fly over,
zoom in, or rotate a variety of globes; play games, listen to narratives,
watch time-lapse photos of erupting volcanoes or trace animal extinction
patterns.

Its stunning globes are created from more than 20,000 images based on
actual satellite data. The globes can be rotated in any direction and
zoomed to nine levels. Using spy satellite images, major cities around the
world can be explored at street level.

3D Atlas contains a vast database of statistics with a powerful charting
engine, and also features flights over mountain ranges, dramatic video
stories focusing on environmental change and satellite time-lapse
information.

3D Atlas is available now for Macintosh CD-ROM and will be available for
Windows CD-ROM and 3DO formats in early March.

The International EMMA awards are recognized as an International symbol of

the European Commission, Pearson plc, Pioneer, the Voyager Company, WIRED
