X-Link Connects Two Networks without Programming

December 30, 1994 -- Kitchener, Canada -- S-S Technologies Inc. is pleased
to announce X-Link Communications Gateway which allows two industrial
networks to communicate without custom programming.

Downloaded device drivers configure X-link for a specific gateway
application. A real-time message processing kernel resident in X-Link
performs data mapping and message routing between the networks. Data can
be read or written by a station on either network, or X-Link can be
configured to generate unsolicited messages to read or write data values.

X-Link comes with a variety of drivers for many standard industrial
networks. All you have to do is download the two drivers for your
particular application and run the configuration software to configure the
data blocks. Or write your own driver. A driver kit allows development of
custom drivers that are automatically compatible with all previously
developed drivers. This lets you quickly develop a connection between
major networks such as Data Highway Plus or Modbus Plus and your own
network. Once your driver is completed, you have instant access to all
supported networks.

S-S Technologies Inc. designs and markets communication products for the
industrial market.
