Teltone Introduces Two line Programmable Telephone line Simulator with
Caller ID

January 24, 1995 -- BOTHELL, WASH.: Teltone has introduced its TLS-3B
Telephone Line Simulator, a fully-featured, programmable tool for testing
or demonstrating analog telecommunications products such as phones,
modems, fax devices, etc. The TLS-3B is unique in providing many CO/PBX
features in a compact package easily carried in a briefcase. It enables
users to save the recurring costs and hassles of locating phone lines for
product demos at trade shows or customer sites, or for testing telecom
products under development.

The TLS-3B builds on the feature set of the companion TLS-3A, also offering
programmable features such as primary/secondary phone numbers, network
response delays, flash detect, forced disconnect, and more. The TLS-3B
also provides Caller ID signaling in several message formats, as well as a
Visual Message Waiting indicator.

Key features of the TLS-3B include precise call progress tones (dial, busy,
reorder, and ringback), typical central office battery feed, AC ringing
voltage, two loop start lines with single talk path, and AC powering.
Other features include dial-up test tones, forced disconnect pulse (COD),
and secondary dial tone. Telecom devices connect to the TLS-3B with
standard modular connectors, with each line providing two telephone
numbers.

The TLS-3B is list priced at $475.

Teltone designs and manufactures products for secure access to business
phone systems, for telecommuting, for cabletelephony, and for personal
computer-telephone integration; alternate 9-1-1 access equipment;
telephone line simulators for telecom equipment test and demos; and a line
of integrated circuits for telecom product design.
