Financial Software Equips PC-based Investors With New Online Access and
Charting Concepts

SAN DIEGO, Calif, December 1, 1994 -- Q-WEST Associates, developers of
securities and portfolio management software tools, has reduced the list
price on its new Money Maker for Windows Version 2.0 financial analysis
package by 20 percent, from $99 to $79 95. The new pricing structure,
effective immediately, is part of the company's marketing strategy to
branch into competitive distribution and reseller channels, as well as
VARs in the financial and brokerage markets.

"In addition to Money Maker's new lower list price, Q-WEST Associates is
also offering an attractive introductory price of $59.95 to first-time

Money Maker is one of the industry's first financial software packages to
integrate three applications in a single program: a powerful data
analysis, portfolio tracking tools, and technical analysis tools Version 2
0 focuses on significant new features for Money Maker's Portfolio and
Technical Analysis components, making it simple enough for the novice
investor to use yet has sophisticated accounting controls for the seasoned
investor.

Portfolio is a robust financial toolbox that assembles and tracks stocks,
options, mutual funds, bonds and futures. The easy-to-use stock portfolio
records long and short positions, margins, splits and dividend payments,
as well as updates current price histories and calculates rates of
return.

Key new features for the Portfolio component include on-line access to
CompuServe for the automatic downloading of security prices and price
histories (with user-defined periods); two- and three-dimensional graphs
for quantifying price histories, portfolio performance and financial
reports; and a cash account portfolio to assist in managing the cash flow
among all security types. Money Maker's on-line feature also allows users
to "quick call" Prodigy's Quote Track files to automatically import
updates on existing securities prices.

In addition, the Portfolio component supports specific lot allocation for
closed positions, and can generate twelve different reports, including
average cost, performance reports with user-defined periods, capital gain,
ordinary income, and more.

Easy-to-read Charts and Tables Illustrate Complex Investment Concepts For
Technical Analyses

Completely new to Money Maker is a versatile Charting component that
provides easy-to-read charts for documenting price histories, volumes and
moving averages, as well as provide more than ten popular indicators for
Money Maker's Technical Analysis component The leading indicators include
Relative Strength Index (RSI), Williams' percentage range, Stochastic
Index, Commodity Index, Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD), and
many more.

The new Money Maker V2.0 Chart allows users to automatically download price
histories from CompuServe via modem, and edit price histories. It can also
import their existing database into Money Maker's Portfolio component.

Money Maker's third program component, Analyzer, builds powerful
step-by-step analyses of stocks, options, bonds, mutual funds, futures,
real estate and financial goal planning. Each section is icon-selectable,
with pull-down menus directing the user to perform various financial

The first release of Money Maker was introduced in June 1993, featuring the
