PRESSLINK FULFILLS PROMISE OF DIGITAL FREE PRESS AT SUPER BOWL XXIX

Single Online Location Brings News Media Unprecedented Speed and Content
Choice from 4 News Agencies; Plus Exclusive NFL Photos

MIAMI - January 30, 1995 - PressLink last night began a new industry
tradition when four major news agencies, Agence France-Presse, Allsport,
Knight-Ridder/Tribune and Reuters, along with NFL Photo in an exclusive
agreement, cooperated to provide game-time Super Bowl content at a single
online location. PressLink's thousands of subscribers in 60 countries were
able to view and download their choice of content from the Super Bowl
within minutes. The game-time coverage capped-off a week of dedicated
Super Bowl content in PressLink's Special Report section, a new service
available on PressLink's global news network.

"It made it easier to know that there was one place to look," said the
Rochester Democrat and Chronicle's Photo Editor, Wayne Scarberry, who
published a number of Special Report images during the week. "I knew that
the combined forces of PressLink and the AP would bring me the best
possible photos for my readers." Said Scarberry of the exclusive NFL Photo
of Steve Young used for today's sports cover page, "It was the best one we
could find on our deadline; so we went for it."

Scarberry added that the additional access provided by PressLink "allowed
us to make our deadlines and get the paper out" on Friday, when the
paper's AP Leafserver "went down" for most of the day.

Agence France-Presse, Allsport, Knight-Ridder/Tribune, NFL Photo and
Reuters utilized the latest digital technologies for fastest, high-quality
image postings. To make European deadlines, Allsport initially used a
Kodak digital camera that delivered the first PressLink post, Jerry Rice's
first touchdown, within twenty minutes. Similar capture-to-post times were
recorded by the other Special Report sponsors, including NFL Photos with a
prototype Kodak digital camera.

"It really went well," said the National Football League's Director of
Photographic Services, Paul Spinelli, who attributed much of the project's
success to careful preparation with PressLink. "We talked to (PressLink)
about what their subscribers would be interested in, and then our guys
went out and shot at least 500 images by the end of the game. It was
terrific."

Special Report is the world's only news source delivering ready-to-publish,
up-to-the-minute events coverage from numerous providers at a single
online location, and is open to all PressLink subscribers. Special Report
supplies all components necessary for comprehensive event coverage,
including up-to-the-minute news, photos and graphics, pre-event materials,
backgrounders, historical and archive materials, research assistance,
logos and maps.

Newsrooms will be alerted to upcoming Special Report events, including the
Academy Awards and The Road to the White House (continuing Presidential
campaign and election coverage), via a published calendar of events,
exclusive 48-hour advance fax notification, postal mail, E-mail, and for
spontaneous news, personal phone notification.

PressLink, which created the online delivery of ready-to-publish materials
in 1986, once again sets the standard by introducing Special Report, a
breakthrough in providing in-depth coverage and choice that is the right
of the free press. Special Report is part of PressLink's worldwide online
service for publishers, providing over 10,000 fresh news items per week
from over 75 Information Providers. PressLink's archives today hold over
200,000 items.

PressLink was founded to provide media professionals with instant access to
photos, graphics and text from the world's most popular news organizations
and image archives. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Knight-Ridder, Inc. (NYSE: KRI), the second-largest newspaper group in the
