JONATHAN GILL OF THE WHITE HOUSE TO ADDRESS NETWORKS EXPO

White House Communications Specialist Who Placed First Family and Cabinet
Agencies on the Internet Will Address New Era of Participatory
Communications at Networks Expo Boston

(Fort Lee, NJ, January 23) -- Jonathan P. Gill of The White House, one of
the architects for technological change in Washington -- and a member of
the team who created the White House site on the Internet -- will be a
keynote speaker at Networks Expo '95 Boston, at 9 a.m., on Thursday,
February 16. The three-day show and conference runs February 14-16, at the
Hynes Convention Center, in Boston, MA.

Mr. Gill will address "The National Information Infrastructure (NII) and
the Coming Era of Participatory Communications." Beyond helping to
implement Clinton administration policies for using the Information
Superhighway, Mr. Gill has been instrumental in making this administration
the first interactive Presidency -- where communications has extended
beyond television and traditional media into the new era of computer-based
communications. Mr. Gill's responsibilities include: electronic
publishing, electronic public outreach, new technologies evaluation and a
role as public spokesperson.

At Networks Expo Boston, Mr. Gill will discuss the insights garnered from
his work with the NII in Washington. "The National Information
Infrastructure is a vision of an interconnected world," said Mr. Gill. "We
are moving into the era of the Information Economy, you have to make your
customer an Information Partner; it's the first step to a more efficient
marketplace."

Mr. Gill was also instrumental in setting up Welcome to the White House: An
Interactive Citizens Handbook, the White House site or "home page" on the
Internet, and putting the Federal budget on CD-ROM for the past two years.
To date, the White House project on the Internet has published more than
3,500 documents, and received more than 663,000 "home page" visitors and
received over 400,000 E-mail messages, Mr. Gill said.

Prior to joining the White House Office of Media Affairs, Mr. Gill was the
president of Computer Access Corp., whose principal product, Bluefish, an
information retrieval engine, was sold to Lotus Development Corporation in
1978. He subsequently was the founder and president of Penfield Gill Inc.,
an information technologies consulting firm.

Mr. Gill's address at Networks Expo Boston is the third of three major
keynote presentations. On February 14 at 9 a.m., Craig Benson, chairman,
chief operating officer and treasurer of Cabletron Systems Inc., will
address. "Achieving Business Success with the New Network Infrastructure."
The second keynote will be given on February 15 at 9 a.m., by Rose Ann
Giordano, VP of the Internet Business Group at Digital Equipment Corp.,
and she will address the "Commercialization of the Internet."

Networks Expo Boston will feature more than 200 exhibitors during the
three-day event at the Hynes Convention Center. Hands-on access to new
technology, corporate training and education are the benchmarks of the
technical and educational focus of the event, explained Jay Gorga, show
director for Networks Expo.

Exhibiting companies at Networks Expo Boston will include: American Power
Conversion, Allied Telesis, Attachmate, Bellcore, Bendata, Cabletron,
Castelle, Cisco, Digital Equipment Corp., Frye Computer Systems,
Gammalink, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, MCI International. Microsoft, NetManage,
