Interplay Inks Exclusive Distribution Pact with Great Wave Software

Interplay To Market Award-winning Line of Educational Software

Irvine, Calif.--Interplay Productions announced it will exclusively
distribute the consumer versions of Great Wave Software's line of
award-winning children's educational software. The agreement calls for
Interplay to market Great Wave Software's consumer product line--which
includes KidsTime Deluxe, ReadingMaze, NumberMaze, Decimal & Fraction
Maze, KidsMath and World Discovery--through its well established
distribution channels in North America.

Under the agreement, the Great Wave Software consumer product line will be
sold by Interplay through 5,000 retail outlets, through distributors
including Ingram and Merisel, and through OEM channels.

available to millions of children and advances our goal of helping as many
of them as possible to have positive attitudes about learning," said Chad
Mitchell, Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of Great Wave Software.
"Great Wave Software continues to be committed to developing the highest
quality educational software for both the consumer and education
markets."

Interplay, a well-known producer and distributor of entertainment software,
is making its debut into the traditional education market with the Great
Wave Software products. Interplay's current product lineup includes the
hit educational software, Mario Teaches Typing for IBM and 100 percent
compatibles and Macintosh computers.

of software Great Wave has developed for the Macintosh and now release it
along with the Windows-based versions," said Phil Adam, vice president of

their educational software and the addition of Great Wave as an affiliate

Interplay Productions will distribute Macintosh and Windows versions of the
Great Wave Software products for a suggested retail price of $49.95. Great
Wave Software will continue to market its school editions and handle all
international sales. School editions include teaching materials and are
available for $59.95 for single user versions. Lab packs, network server
versions and educational site licenses are also available from Great Wave
Software. The company will continue to provide customer support for both
consumer and educational versions of the products.

and historical facts. World Discovery has a unique puzzle interface and
includes 19 colorful maps that show countries, states, cities, mountain
ranges, rivers, lakes and oceans. A player can select custom sets of maps
and add his or her own questions on a variety of subjects, or play the 12
activities that are included in the program. The game is designed for ages
eight through adult.

The programs require Windows 3.1 or higher, a VGA or SVGA monitor, 2MB to
4MB of RAM and a hard drive and are available in retail stores for under
$60.00. Educational packages are available for educational institutions,
and include lesson plans and black line masters.
