Great Wave Software Introduces Six New Windows-based Educational Software
Products

Award-winning Software Now Available On PCs

Scotts Valley, Calif.--Great Wave Software announced a new line of
Windows-based educational software products designed to help children and
adults learn basic skills--such as reading, mathematics, geography and
history--while having fun. The six new programs are based on the company's
original best-selling learning programs for the Macintosh.

"With the incredible growth of PCs in the home, we will be able to reach
millions of children who, until now, did not have access to our
educational programs," said Stacy McKee Mitchell, CEO of Great Wave
Software. "The availability of our products on the Windows platform gives
those children the opportunity to learn before entering the school system;
enhance what they are learning on our Macintosh programs in the classroom,
and continue learning after school, on weekends and during the school
breaks."

Great Wave Software products win awards and remain popular for many years
because they combine strong educational content with visual appeal and
entertainment. Educators and parents laud the products' curriculum-based
approach, concentration on basic skills, and extensive customizing for
different levels of users--enabling them to purchase one product for
several different grade and age levels. Great Wave Software's Maze
products have more than 330 different skill levels, are customizable for
each particular user, can track the user's progress as well as identify
specific areas in which improvement is needed.

"At a time when glitzy 'edutainment' software has a fleeting shelf life,
Great Wave Software's products have staying power because they stick to
the basics," said Charles D. Bernstein, Ph.D. of Early Learning Institute.
"And the basics never go out of style."

At the same time, Great Wave Software products keep children's attention
through innovative games, sound, motion and bright colors--as well as many
different levels of difficulty. One parent reports, "My son gave up his
Nintendo for Great Wave' s NumberMaze product."

The new Windows-based programs--KidsTime Deluxe, ReadingMaze, NumberMaze,
Decimal & Fraction Maze, KidsMath and World Discovery--have all the
brilliant colors and graphics, as well as the depth and scope, of the
award-winning Macintosh products.

* KidsTime Deluxe for Windows is designed for children ages three through
eight to foster creativity and introduce basic computer skills. Actually
five programs in one, KidsTime Deluxe offers games that teach skills in
story composition--using the Storybook picture font --and writing,
keyboard and mouse usage, music, categorization and memory. All five games
are started from a central launcher designed for easy navigation between
each program.

* ReadingMaze for Windows teaches beginning reading skills to children ages
three to eight by matching letters and pictures, identifying true/false
and incomplete sentences, and correcting mixed-up sentences. The program
has more than 350 skill levels for pre-kindergarten through second grade
and introduces more than 300 basic vocabulary words, nouns, adjectives,
prepositions and animated verbs.

* NumberMaze for Windows is an educational mathematics program for children
ages five through 12 that combines the fun of solving mazes with the
challenge of solving math problems. A user must correctly solve a math
problem to pass through each gate in the maze. Great Wave Software's
proprietary Random Word Problem generator creates virtually an infinite
number of word problems, assuring that the child will rarely see the same
word problem twice.

* Decimal & Fraction Maze for Windows introduces fractions and covers 17
other skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
decimals, and converting mixed numbers to improper fractions. The program
is appropriate for ages eight through adult and includes adult education
curricula.
