GROUP TECHNOLOGIES SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA FOR BALL GRID
ARRAY TECHNOLOGY

Tampa, FL -- January 30, 1995 -- Group Technologies Corporation
(NASDAQ:GRTK) has signed a licensing agreement with Motorola, Inc.,
Phoenix, AZ, which allows Group Technologies to manufacture Motorola's
proprietary ball grid array (BGA) technology for use in their own
high-volume product assembly operations. Currently, few companies
worldwide have been qualified and granted this license.

'In this new age of contract manufacturing which emphasizes smaller,
lighter and faster, ball grid array technology will be of significant
benefit to our current and future customers,' said Carl McCormick,
president and CEO of Group Technologies.

BGA is Motorola's patented component attachment technology that allows
product designers to put more electronic components, such as integrated
circuits, on printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in electronic products.
The components attach to the PCB via small solder bumps on the underside
of the chip package. BGA technology allows increased functionality while
reducing overall PCB size, and the weight of products such as laptop
computers, pagers and cellular telephones.

Jack Calderon, vice president of business development and international
operations, said, 'This latest agreement supports our goal of being the
technology leader in electronic manufacturing services. By manufacturing
ball grid array components internally, we can reduce time to market for
our customers' new products, as well as reduce their overall manufacturing
costs. In addition, this technology fits into our high-volume
chip-on-board assembly lines.'

Group Technologies Corporation is a $250 million electronics contract
manufacturer. Employing over 2,000 people, it is one of the most
diversified electronic contract manufacturers in the world. The company
provides electronic design and manufacturing services to customers who are
leaders in numerous industries including gaming, aerospace, industrial,
medical, automotive, computer and communications. The company operates
facilities in Tampa, Florida; Denver, Colorado; Mexico City, Mexico; and
Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
