January 27 Internet Marketing Program in Edison Open to All:
Marketing on Internet and the World-Wide Web

The World-Wide Web (W3 or WWW) is a communications media that is very
exciting to many technology-based companies. In particular, the last two
months have seen large technology companies (DEC, Intel etc.) implement
their offerings on the Web. W3 allows customers and products to find each
together.

The program is being presented by the AEA NJ/PA Software Committee at the
Clarion Hotel in Edison, NJ on Friday January 27, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Cost is $25 for members and $45 for non-members. Call Bob Cummings at
201-734-0440 for more information.

It is a particularly brilliant way to market software, and computer-related
solutions, since those are the natural constituencies of the Web. In fact,
some companies are able to make sales on the Web by accepting customer's
credit cards and automatically downloading the software without ever
talking to a customer!

In addition, W3 is proving useful to electronics companies because many of
the Internet users are technical professionals, designing industrial
equipment or engaging in scientific research.

Being on the Web means that your company or organization has unlimited
accessibility. Up to twenty five million people are on the Internet and
the number is growing rapidly.

The program will include the information you'll need to make a decision on
what kind of accessibility you want to give potential customers to your
information and products. At the very least you should make product and
company information available. You can even make public financial
information available.

The program will also cover how to get on the Web and explain how host
organizations connect a computer via TCP/IP (Ethernet) to an Internet
provider.

The speakers are Larry Gordon, President TekTel, Inc. Public Relations and
TekTel W3 Services and Fred Pack, VP, UniPress Software, Inc.
