BLENHEIM GROUP USA AND CMP PUBLICATIONS JOIN FORCES TO LAUNCH PC EXPO HOME
TRADE SHOW

New Event for Small Office, Home Office and Home Computing Market Slated
for New York City's Javits Center this Fall

(Fort Lee, NJ, January 6) -- Blenheim Group, the world's largest
independent producer of tradeshows and conferences, and CMP Publications,
Inc., publisher of fifteen high-tech publications, announced they will
jointly sponsor a new public trade show to be held in the fall -- PC EXPO
HOME: Technology for Small Offices, Home Offices and Home Computing.

Utilizing the strengths and experience of both Blenheim Group USA and CMP,
this new event will target the exploding audience of SOHO (small office,
home office) and home computer users. For the first time, the public will
have the opportunity to view and purchase the latest hardware and software
used by small businesses, home offices, schools and consumers. The
inaugural show is scheduled for September 28 - October 1, 1995 at the
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, where Blenheim produces the
successful PC EXPO for the corporate computing marketplace every June.

"In 1983, we launched PC EXPO in New York, the first PC show for Corporate
America," said Stephen Ianuzzi, CEO, of Blenheim Group USA. "Today, with
PCs becoming as ubiquitous as the TV set, the time is right for PC EXPO
HOME. By combining our trade show experience and clout with CMP's vast
editorial and database power, PC EXPO HOME will be a dynamic forum in
which consumers and manufacturers meet and conduct business. We are
thrilled with the opportunity to work with CMP."

Michael Leeds, CMP President and CEO, stated, "With Blenheim's worldwide
experience and acknowledged leadership in computer and consumer trade
shows, and CMP's strength in both computer publishing -- specifically the
office and retail side of the business -- and high-tech databases, the
partnership is a natural."

This new event was created as a result of the strong demand by computer
manufacturers to have a dynamic marketing medium that targets the
exploding home user population. There are more than 30 million existing
home PC users, and millions more are expected to buy home PCs in the next
twelve to eighteen months. According to LINK Resources Corp., New York,
more than half of all homes with combined incomes between $45,000 and
$59,000 already have PCs. In homes with incomes of $60,000 or more, home
computer penetration increases to sixty percent.

"PC EXPO HOME will be a powerful way to meet the needs of a market that's
developed at incredible speed," said Ken Cron, President of Publishing at
CMP. "It will be the only place this information-hungry audience will have
an opportunity to see what's new, what's hot, and what's next in home
computer products and services in one place at one time."

According to James O'Rourke, Executive Vice President, IT Events, Blenheim
Group USA, "Computer companies need an effective medium to build brand
awareness and demand for their products. At PC EXPO HOME, family members
will have hands-on experience in a megatrends environment."

CMP's penetration into the home consumer and SOHO markets is deep.
Relationships forged with computer retailers, superstores, mass
merchandisers, and VARs through Computer Retail Week, Computer Reseller
News and VARBusiness have made CMP the leading source of information on
how consumers and businesses buy computers in the retail market and the
channel.

A centerpiece of CMP's presence in the home computer market is HomePC
magazine, which in the seven months since its launch has become the
fastest-growing computer magazine. The magazine targets the millions of
home PC users, and those on the cusp of buying a computer for home use,
with a focus on entertainment, education and personal productivity.
WINDOWS Magazine, a publication for the 550,000 users of the Windows
graphical interface, and NetGuide, a one-of-a-kind guide to cyberspace for
users of on-line services, also reinforce CMP's strong influence in the
home computer environment.

Blenheim's IT Events Division of Blenheim Group USA, is part of Blenheim
