EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE EAST REFLECTS PROGRAM FOR INCREASING COMPLEXITY
OF INDUSTRY

Focus On Software Reuse And Object-Oriented Development Continues While
Interest In Networking And Multiple Processors in Embedded Design Grows

San Francisco -- January 24, 1995 -- With thirty new classes, including
sessions on networking and the use of multiple processors in embedded
design, and repeat appearances of popular sessions on advanced programming
techniques, the program for the third annual Embedded Systems Conference
East reflects the growing complexity facing engineers working in the
embedded marketplace.

The program for this year's conference, running from April 18-20 at the
Inforum in Atlanta, Georgia, highlights the latest trends and techniques
for improving the performance-of embedded systems. Many of the tutorials
and lectures expand on the subjects of software reuse and object-oriented
development, explored in last year's conference. New programs dealing with
UNIX and other networking alternatives, methods for structuring systems
with multiple CPUs, and new real-time operating systems fill the three-day
educational program.

Embedded systems developers and engineers can choose from 60 different
lectures and tutorials offered by a faculty of forty-four industry
experts. The conference begins on Tuesday, April 18 with six different
full day tutorials providing in-depth technical reviews of programming and
performance modeling topics. On April 19 and 20, 90-minute lectures
covering dozens of subjects are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The exhibit floor, featuring products and services from more than 100
companies will be open all three days of the show. Exhibiting companies
include leading manufacturers of embedded microprocessors,
microcontrollers, and single-board computers, as well as development tool
vendors.

Embedded Systems Conference East is the only East Coast educational forum
dedicated to embedded systems products and services. Now in its third
year, Embedded Systems Conference East is the East Coast counterpart to
the original Embedded Systems Conference, a seven year old show which
takes place every fall in Silicon Valley. Both shows are presented by
Miller Freeman, Inc., the publisher of Embedded Systems Programming and
the third largest trade show producer in North America. A wholly-owned
subsidiary of United Newspapers plc of London, England, the company
provides dozens of electronics and software conferences and trade shows,
including: Software Development Conference, Autodesk University,
MechanCAD, PCB Design Conference, Surface Mount International, and the
OS/2 World Conference and Exhibition.
