DELL COMPUTER CORPORATION AND MICROSOFT TEAM UP TO BRING CUSTOMERS WINDOWS
95

Austin, Texas, Jan. 25, 1995 -- Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:DELL)
today announced it has signed a market development agreement with
Microsoft Corporation and that the two companies will work together to
market Microsoft Windows95 operating system this year. The announcement
furthers Dell and Microsoft's ongoing partnership and ensures Dell
customers will be able to take advantage of the new operating system as
soon as it is available. Dell said that Microsoft Windows95 will be
offered across Dells' Plus and Play-Ready desktop and notebook product
lines.

"We see Windows95 as the most important systems software transition of the
past several years. Dell is very focused on ensuring a smooth and rapid
transition for our customers," said Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell
Computer Corporation. "Dell has been transitioning our worldwide factory
integration processes to support Plug and Play since the summer of 1994."

To offer its customers superior support in transitioning to Windows95, Dell
has also begun extensive training of its technical support and sales teams
to ensure that they are knowledgeable about the new operating syste, he
noted.

Windows95's outstanding improvements across the entire feature set -- from
built-in networking capabilities and an intuitive user interface to 32-bit
performance and increased reliability -- all key advances offered by the

Play features, 32-bit performance, improved reliability and faster
printing capabilities.
