New software delivers time management expertise to PIM users

SAN MATEO, CA--Day-Timer Technologies introduced Day-Timer Organizer, a
powerful, flexible, simple-to-use personal information manager (PIM) for
comprehensive time and information management.

Day-Timer Organizer provides scheduling, task management, address book,
notebook and expense tracking functions in tightly integrated modules. The
application is available in Windows, DOS and network versions.

Users familiar with Day-Timers' popular paper-based organizers will
instantly recognize the daily planner screen metaphor which displays
schedule, daily to-do list, upcoming events, and daily diary or notes
within one view. You can move easily from day to day, or week to week, by
clicking on planner page corners, while arrows expedite navigation through
multiple weeks or months.

Flexibility and adaptability, hallmarks of Day-Timers' paper system, also
describe the software. With Day-Timer Organizer, you select from a variety
of on-screen scheduler views to suit personal preferences, and can
customize daily planner views by resizing schedule, task and diary
sections. User-definable fields, extensive drag-and-drop capabilities, and
powerful search-and-retrieve capabilities further define the program's
versatility.

"Day-Timer Organizer was developed to accommodate the user, first and
foremost. It is easier to use than competing organizer and work group
products, yet offers similar features-and functions," said Peter Dupont,

Individual and group scheduling features include click-and-drag scheduling,
drag-and-drop rescheduling, automatic conflict checking, and pop-up
alarm/snooze options. Day-Timer Organizer also provides one-time
scheduling and recurring activities, and can locate the first available
free time for all parties.

Task or to-do items can be assigned due dates and advance notice, while
uncompleted items are automatically carried forward to the following day.
Day-Timer Organizer allows task prioritization using 1/2/3, A/B/C,
Hi/Low/None delineations.

The address book module provides fully-featured contact management,
including multiple address fields, phone with extension fields, and
automatic phone dialing. Instant name location is achieved via
alpha-tabbed address entries, or a unique "speedbox" next to the
scrollbar. Additional features include drag-and-drop scheduling from
address book to calendar, and linking of notes, to-do items, and
appointments to address book entries.

A unique ExpenseOrganizer allows you to track travel, entertainment and
miscellaneous expenses. Expenses can be tracked or totaled by client or
project, and over any specified time period. Time spent on meetings, tasks
and phone calls is tallied to help compute costs.

Day-Timer Organizer features sophisticated, yet simple-to-use printing
capabilities, including the ability to print the popular Day-Timer
formats. You can choose the amount of information you wish transferred to
paper, and length entries can be printed on specially designed Day-Timer
''overflow'' sheets. All popular paper formats are supported, with options
including font selection, preview and double-sided printing. DayTimer
Organizer' s emphasis on printing capabilities ensures true portability
for PIM users, the majority of whom use their computer and paper organizer
in tandem.

Day-Timer Organizer network version is an excellent group scheduler and
organizational tool for small workgroups the fasted growing market
segment. The workgroup version offers a TeamOrganizer view, automatic
notification of invitees, task delegation, messaging, and selective
sharing of addresses and notes.

The unique emulation mode lets you connect a Day-Timer Organizer network
version as an additional licensed user--or display shared data away from
the office. Data exchanged between office and portable PCs are
automatically updated and reconciled. You can also exchange messages
routed through cc: Mail, Microsoft Mail, or any other VIM/MAPI-compliant
e-mail system.

Day-Timer Organizer for networks runs on Novell Netware (v2.15 or higher),
Netware Lite, Banyan, IBM, Microsoft, 3Com, LANtastic, Windows for
Workgroups, and other fully NETBIOS-compatible networks. For easy
installation and maintenance, Day-Timer Organizer for networks reads the
Novell Directory Services and Banyan's StreetTalk.

Data stored in Day-Timer Organizer are easily exchanged/shared with other
applications via the Windows clipboard, with automatic mail merge support
of WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Ami Pro. The application runs WINfax
software through support of the Dynamic Data Exchange protocol, thereby
negating the need for duplicate address books. Two-way exchange with
palmtop organizers (Sharp Wizard, HP95LX, HP-100, Casio Boss) and other
software programs is supported through  IntelliLink.

Day-Timer Organizer technology is based on Instant Recall which Day-Timers,
Inc., the world leader in time management products, purchased earlier this
year from Chronologic Corporation. Development and marketing of Day-Timer
Organizer is managed by Day-Timer Technologies, a joint venture between
sister companies Kensington Microware, Ltd. and Day-Timers, Inc. Both

Day-Timer Organizer for Windows runs on IBM/compatible 386 PCs with Windows
3.1. Four Mb free hard disk space is required. Suggested retail price is
$139.00.

Day-Timer Organizer for DOS runs on IBM/compatible 286 PCs with DOS 3.0 and
512K RAM. Suggested retail price is $139.00.

Day-Timer Organizer for Networks is available for groups of 2, 5, 10, 20,
