January 15, 1995 -- The CAMAD Company announces the 2300 series addition to
their family of PC based motion control products.

The 2300 series of controllers is a PC based, closed loop pulse and
direction output, motion control board. The 2300 works well as a closed
loop stepper controller; however, it can also be used very successfully
with some digital input servo drives.

Following the design concept used in other CAMAD controllers, the 2300 is
designed for applications demanding high numbers of coordinated axes of
motion. Each axis has its own CPU so that update rates remain constant and
numbers of axes controlled is determined largely by the host computer
capacity.

The 2300 series is completely compatible with CAMAD software including the
diagnostic software and the program development tool QuickRUN. Like all
CAMAD products the 2300 is programmable in high level languages and is not
dependent on proprietary programming language.

Multi-axis and multi-board linear and circular interpolations are
possible.

The pulse output of the card is completely adjustable to a maximum output
of 2 MHz providing extremely high resolution and speed.

The 2300 boards, like all CAMAD controllers, include opto-isolated I/O. All
boards in the series have 20 digital inputs and 8 outputs.

The 2300 series may be used with single ended encoders using open collector
or totem pole outputs and differential encoders with or without
termination, and can be adapted for use with resolvers.

The 2300 is available in 1,2,3 and 4 axis configurations.
