eWorld Beefs up Online Support Offerings

Business and Finance information also enhanced with Dow Jones; new features
made available

CUPERTINO, California--January 17, 1995--eWorld , the online service of
Apple Computer, Inc., announced today that it has strengthened its on-line
support offerings for Apple Macintosh computers by adding useful technical
and product information from seven new hardware and software companies,
since the start of the new year. Companies that have recently begun
publishing information in eWorld's Computer Center include Binary
Software, Computalabel, Intercon Systems Corp., Landware, Inc., Portfolio
Software, Quality Computers, and Technology Works, Inc. (Techworks). These
companies provide a range of computer solutions, from Internet
connectivity and personal information management to digital photographic
display and educational hardware.

The ClarisWorks Users Group is also now available in eWorld, providing
support information and resources for one of Claris' hottest-selling
products, ClarisWorks --recent winner of MacUser's prestigious Eddy award
in the category of Integrated Software Packages. eWorld now features
computer support information from 75 different companies; more than 40
have joined eWorld since its launch last summer.

Additionally, eWorld announced that certain features of the next version of
eWorld--code-named Golden Gate and expected to be available in the
Spring--can now be downloaded by current subscribers. Notably, an Auto
Open tool that allows the user to automatically open to a specific eWorld
area when logging into the service is now available in the service's Info
Booth.

The announcement follows eWorld's price cutting and new product-plan
announcements at MacWorld Expo. eWorld dropped its hourly charge in the US
and Canada to $2.95, down from $4.95, and has doubled the hours
subscribers receive for the monthly $8.95 fee to four hours.

Dow Jones Business Information Services, publisher of the Wall Street
Journal, also announced last week that it plans to be a major provider of
business news and financial information in eWorld's, Business and Finance
Plaza. The Dow Jones area is expected to include current and historic
information on business, corporate and economic developments.
