ACCOLADE ANNOUNCES HARDBALL '95, ENORMOUS 24-MEG GAME FOR THE SEGA GENESIS
FEATURES REAL PLAYERS FROM THE MLBPA AND AL MICHAELS CALLING THE SHOTS

Category: Baseball Simulation
Price and Availability: Sega Genesis (24 megs, 256K SRAM Backup)
                        $69.95

LAS VEGAS, NEV. - JANUARY 6, 1995 --Sport Accolade, recognized as an
industry leader in sports simulations, today announced HardBall '95 for
the Sega Genesis. This 24-Meg home run hitter features entirely new
graphics and an improved artificial intelligence over last years 16-Meg
HardBall '94. HardBall '95 stars 700 players from the Major League
Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), whose crisp player photos are
displayed nearly 50% larger in a familiar baseball card format. More
frames of animation offer smoother fielder, pitcher and batter graphics.

All 28 authentically rendered big league ballparks are included boasting
all new graphics including day and night stadiums and variable weather
conditions that affect game play and field conditions. Two ballpark views
are available, the perspective of the pitcher or the batter. HardBall '95
reintroduces sports-announcer Al Michaels whose sharp, clear voice calls
the play-by-play. All these features together with all new music and sound
effects create a true television experience. HardBall '95 is scheduled to
release at the beginning of the baseball season at a suggested retail
price of $69.95.

"We've made several improvements to HardBall '95 that HardBall '94 owners
are sure to notice," said Pam Levins, the executive producer for the
entire HardBall series. "The vastly improved artificial intelligence makes
for smarter baserunners, fielders and batters. The computer pitchers will
attempt pickoffs and let go of an occasional wild pitch. And now, your
computer opponent will recognize your pitching pattern and anticipate
pitch types, in hopes of hitting one out. Baserunners are also more
aggressive," concluded Levins.

The Player Editor allows for teams to be modified and player and pitcher
statistics, attributes, and even pitch selections can be changed. The 256K
SRAM back-up will save these modifications for two entire teams, even
after the power is turned off. Replay highlights can also be saved for
later viewing. League leader statistics are saved for the top ten players
in a wide variety of statistical categories. In addition to the real
players and real ballparks, the new trading feature allows for gamers to
create their ultimate MLBPA dream team.

HardBall '95 is a one or two player game offering gamers a variety of ways
to play. Players can compete in exhibition games, half and short seasons,
a complete 162 game season, an all star game and the World Championships.
They can also sharpen their batting skills in the Practice Cage or they
can challenge a friend in the Home Run Derby.
