EBIC Goes East for 1995

November 7, 1994 -- TFPL's fifth annual European Business Information
Conference will be held in Budapest next March. Having been in Amsterdam,
Brussels, Barcelona and Paris this is the first time the conference will
be held in Central Europe.

"We chose Budapest for several reasons" said Nigel Oxbrow TFPL's Managing
Director "it is a city in the midst of transition, in a part of Europe
that is playing an increasingly important role in the European economy and
one that our delegates are particularly interested in - and it is a
beautiful city!"

The conference program itself picks up on many of the international issues
currently effecting business information, but also includes sessions
explaining the rapidly changing situation in Hungary. David Bell, Chief
Executive of the Financial Times Group will present the keynote address on
the 'Shape of the Business Information Industry in the Year 2001' and this
will be followed by a debate by three key players from different parts of
the industry. Other sessions include Desktop Applications for End Users,
Negotiating Global Contracts, Researching Capital Markets and
International Stock Broker Research. Delegates will be welcomed in an
Opening Address by Prof. Marton Tardos, Hungarian MP and President of the
Committee for Economics in Parliament, and there will also be an afternoon
session on Hungary's Economy and Information Infrastructure.

Social events during the conference include a visit to the Opera House to
see the ballet 'Othelo', a reception with a melee of poetry, prose and
music at the famous New York Cafe, and the conference
dinner at the beautiful Gundel restaurant.

EBIC'95 will be held in the Grand Hotel Corvinus, Kempinski, Budapest
21st-24th March 1995.
