Teltone Introduces Revamped Two line Telephone line Simulator

December 20, 1994 -- BOTHELL, WASH.: Teltone has introduced a redesigned
version of its TLS-3 Telephone Line Simulator. The new version, the
TLS-3A, is offered in a compact package which fits into a briefcase for
portability. The TLS-3A replaces the TLS-3, which has become the standard
for reliability and accuracy in telephone line simulation over the last
decade.

The TLS-3A simulates a two-line central office or PBX. It is used for
testing or demonstrating two analog telecom devices, such as phones, fax
machines, modems, etc. It is also useful for testing PBX or key system
installations prior to central office line connection.

Key features of the TLS-3A include precise call progress tones (dial, busy,
reorder, and ringback), typical central office battery feed, AC ringing
voltage, two loop start lines with single talk path, and AC powering. New
features available on the TLS-3A include dial-up test tones, forced
disconnect pulse (COD), and secondary dial tone. Telecom devices connect
to the TLS-3A with standard modular connectors, with each line providing
two telephone numbers. Any seven digit number dialed on one port will ring
the other port.

The TLS-3A is list priced at $375.

Teltone designs and manufactures products for secure access to business
phone systems, for telecommuting, for cable-telephony, and for personal
computer-telephone integration; alternate 9-1-1 access equipment;
telephone line simulators for telecom equipment test and demos; and a line
of integrated circuits for telecom product design.
