Software Development '95 Features Highlights of Borland's Delphi95

December 21, 1994 -- San Francisco--Software Development '95 will be
hosting highlights and free packages of one of the industry's most talked
about products, Borland's new client/server application development
environment, code named Delphi95, at the 1995 West coast conference and
exhibition at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, February 14-16.

"Software Development is among one of the most prestigious development
tools exhibitions in the world," said Paul H. Gross, vice president and
general manager of the Languages and Client/Server business unit at
Borland. "We value the opportunity to highlight our latest technology and
products at Software Development '95. SD consistently attracts high
quality attendees who are focused on using the most leading-edge
development tools. Software Development offers Borland a great opportunity
to gather feedback and comments from some of the world's most experienced
software developers."

As is traditional for Borland, they will be hosting a special party on
February 14 and will include "never seen in public before" highlights of
its upcoming Delphi95 product. Borland will also be offering conference
attendees an opportunity for more in-depth discussions of Delphi95 at free
technical classes the morning of February 15. In addition, Borland plans
to give away 1000 packages of Delphi each day of the show.

In related news, Borland's founder and Chairman, Philippe Kahn will give
the keynote address at SD '95, February 14 at 6pm. Kahn, outspoken and
often controversial visionary, will present his perspective on open
computing: "Is Open Computing Really Delivering on It's Promise?" In his
address, Kahn will outline a number of technology trends in corporate
computing, such as end-user access, application development, workgroup
computing, and utilization of mission-critical data for long-term
strategic analysis, and discuss how the technology community is addressing
these issues.

Borland and Delphi continue to garner attention from the industry. By
integrating the world's fastest compiler technology, Delphi is the only
client/server development tool to combine the productivity of an
object-oriented 4GL with the performance of an optimizing compiler.
Delphi's unique features include: unlimited scalability between local
database tables and external database servers; a visual development
environment that facilitates component-based design and code reuse; and an
open architecture that supports easy integration of external products such
as CASE tools, VBX components and version control.
