Nintendo Introduces Virtual Reality Game Play

TOKYO - Nintendo has announced the introduction of Virtual Boy, the first
virtual reality system developed and produced for the mass market. The
RISC-based, 32-bit system utilizes two high-resolution, mirror-scanning
LED displays to produce a 3-D experience not possible on conventional TV
or LCD screens.

Virtual Boy is scheduled to be released in Japan in April 1995, along with
three software titles. The product will be released in the Western
Hemishpere in April 1995; and will be officially unveiled at the Winter
CES.

Nintendo has acquired a majority interest in Relection Technology, Inc.,
the creators of the virtual reality display technology. This is the first
time Nintendo has taken an equity position in a US-based company.
