NETWORKS EXPO BOSTON ATTENDEES WILL LEARN HOW TO TAP THE INTERNET'S
POTENTIAL FOR THEIR CORPORATE NETWORKS

(Business users must adapt their corporate networks to integrate the

hands-on access to the Internet for all experience levels.)

(Fort Lee, NJ, December 9) -- The technology for connecting business
networks to the Internet will be in the spotlight at the Networks Expo '95
Boston, February 14-16, 1995, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston,
MA. For the first time, the Boston networking show will feature a
comprehensive Internet focus -- with the new hands-on Internet Theater,
co-sponsored by Pencom Systems, Inc., combined with the debut of the
Internet Pavilion, plus new and updated seminars exploring the Internet
and business.

Highlights of the Internet program at Networks Expo '95 Boston will
include:

* Internet Theater. This interactive showcase on the exhibit floor will
include more than 40 desktop stations, where Networks Expo attendees will
receive a guided, hands-on tour of the Internet. Sponsored by Networks
Expo and Pencom Systems Inc., this showcase, featured on national
television, will offer classes every hour during Networks Expo Boston.

* Internet Pavilion. Attendees will have an opportunity to evaluate scores
of products from Networks Expo Boston exhibitors that provide Internet
access, knowledge and related serv ices .

* Commercial uses of the Internet. Rose Ann Giordano, vice president of the
Internet Business Group for Digital Equipment Corporation, will deliver
her keynote presentation on Wednesday, February 15 at 9 a.m. Ms. Giordano
will address the "Commercialization of the Internet," and explore Internet
business models.

* The White House, the Internet and democracy. The keynote presentation by
Jonathan Gill, director of special projects, Office of Media Affairs at
the White House, will address, "The National Information Infrastructure
and the Coming Era of Participatory Communications," in his presentation
on Thursday, February 16, at 9 a.m.

* The 'Net for Novices. Business professionals new to the Internet can
attend a practical primer, including a demonstration of Internet access,
given by John Krick, senior analyst of Datapro entitled, "Driver Training
on the Information Superhighway."

* ShowNet Access to the Internet. The show network and on-line show
directory will provide attendees with expanded access to the Internet
through Mosaic and other tools for both electronic mail and information
retrieval.

* In-depth Seminars and Tutorials. For the first time, Networks Expo Boston
will present tutorials and a dedicated educational seminar track on the
Internet. The track will provide a business-oriented exploration of the
Internet, including a session entitled, "Doing Business on the Internet."
Network security, and how a business can establish "points of presence" on
the Internet will be among the topics covered during the in-depth
tutorial, "An Introduction to the Internet," to be held Monday, February
13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

* "You Can't Do That on the Internet. " The nation's largest user group,
the Boston Computer Society (BCS), in cooperation with Networks Expo
Boston, will present this complimentary session on Tuesday, February 14,
from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.

"Despite all of the general and technical information available about the
Internet, there is still a definite need for information about integrating
corporate business networks to the Internet," said John Krick of Datapro.
"Managers must also understand the critical need for corporate data
security, before driving while impaired on the Information Superhighway."

More than 253 exhibitors of computer networking and communications
technology are expected at Networks Expo Boston, at the John B. Hynes
Convention Center. The show will run Tuesday through Thursday, February
14-16, 1995; exhibit hours are Tuesday and Wednesday -- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
