New Product Converts Macintosh Computers into 100 MS/s Digital Storage

December 19, 1994 -- Hinsdale, IL - Information Systems Technology, Inc.
announced today a hardware and software kit that converts Macintosh NuBus
computers into a fully programmable, highspeed digital storage
oscilloscope. The kit combines the MacQuire plug-in data acquisition board
with LabVIEW graphical instrumentation software (National Instruments,
Austin, TX) to create a full-function oscilloscope virtual instrument.

About MacQuire

Scientists and engineers can use MacQuire in a broad range of applications,
including radar, sonar, ultrasound, time-of-flight measurements, shock and
vibration analysis, video signal analysis, image processing, medical
imaging, speech analysis, and automatic test equipment. MacQuire features
include dual-channel, 130 MHz bandwidth, 8-bit resolution; 100 MS/s
transient, 12 GS/s repetitive; deep memory (1 MB standard, 4 MB optional);
software-selectable triggering with adjustable coupling, slope, and level
settings; extremely low dead-time of less than 400 ns between end of sweep
and acceptance of next trigger; pre, post, and segmented triggering modes;
 signal averaging software to reduce noise and improve resolution; auto
setup; and easy operation via the LabVIEW front panel display.

System Requirements

MacQuire requires a Macintosh NuBus computer with at least 8 MB memory and
25 MB disk space. MacQuire is compatible with Power Macintosh computers.
