Lind Electronic Design and Pilot Technologies Merge 12/2/94

Minneapolis, Minnesota, December 1, 1994; Lind Electronic Design, Inc.
which produces a complete line of power accessories and Pilot
Technologies, Inc., the manufacturer of BookEndz docking stations and
other accessories for the PowerBook series notebooks, today announced
their plans to merge the two companies.

LeRoy Lind, President of Lind Electronic Design, stated, "After working
together informally in recent months, we have decided to join forces,
since so many of our products, directions, and goals are complementary.
This merger increases our capabilities and expands our existing product
line. At the same time, it improves our abilities to explore additional
new design opportunities which our customers frequently demand. Since both
of us are Apple Developers, we intend to continue to provide unique
solutions for Apple customers."

Bill Pederson, President of Pilot Technologies, stated, "Lind Electronic
Design and Pilot Technologies share the same views on product direction,
design, and customer support. It seems natural that we pool our knowledge
and resources to provide even better products and support to our clients.
Together, we intend to become the most responsive and innovative mobile
computing accessory supplier in the world. While we will continue to offer
specific products under our own labels, we also intend to be the first OEM
choice for other mobile computing accessory suppliers."
