It's here! The updated BGI256 driver V3.03 is now available.

The big improvments are:

1. An improved line draw algorithm which makes BGI256 line draw similar to
the Borland line draw method. This improves the stroked font appearance.

2. Animation support has been enhanced by providing sprite animation
support through a modified use of PutImage.

3. Virtual display support. Unfortunately, few vesa drivers provide proper
virtual screen support, so this should be used at your own risk. If it
doesn't work, yell at your display card manufacturer for not providing
proper VESA support. If virtual display support is available, the
SetActivePage and SetDisplayPage functions will be supported.

4. Patterned line draw has been enhanced with three new options; standard,
continuous and fixed.

Users who have registered within the last 90 days will be receiving a copy
of the new driver free of charge. Other registered users may upgrade their
driver for $10 plus $5 shipping and handling. If you have not yet
registered your BGI256 driver, you can still do so at the $45 rate plus $5
shipping and handling. See the attached order form for more information.
Visa or Mastercard orders can now be accepted.

The specific Trident and Video Seven drivers are no longer supported. It is
recommended that a VESA TSR be used with these cards unless you have a
need to use the card specific BGI driver. The card specific include files
are still provided so that you can create the drivers using the CREATE.BAT
file if you need the card specific driver.

If you do not have a VESA driver for your display, you can find VESA
drivers for the most popular display cards in the IBMPRO forum on
Compuserve in section 12. For specific display card support, visit the
GRAPHICS support forums on Compuserve. Most of the display card
manufacturers provide support in one of the available graphics support
forum sections.
