INTERGRAPH COMPUTER SYSTEMS SHIPPING COMPUTERS WITH UPDATED PENTIUMS
JANUARY 2

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Dec. 22, 1994 -- Intergraph Computer Systems announced
today that it will start shipping personal workstations and servers
containing the updated version of the Intel Pentium microprocessor on
January 2, 1995. Two weeks later the company will begin implementing a
program to replace Pentium microprocessors in systems previously shipped.

"Our customers are concerned that the floating point flaw introduces an
element of uncertainty in their work," said Wade Patterson, vice president
of Intergraph Computer Systems. "Though no customer has reported any
errors, we are moving as rapidly as possible to ensure that our customers
can rely on the results of their computer systems, especially for
technical applications where accuracy is critical."

"Meeting customers' technical needs has always been our primary goal," said
Patterson. Industry analysts such as Daratech Inc. have rated Intergraph
No. 1 in customer satisfaction for the past five years. A customer
responding to a Daratech survey says of Intergraph, "Maintenance and
support are excellent. They're always there . . . (CAD/CAM, CAE Industry
Update, January, 1994, page 9401-6)."
