iFOR/LS for OS/2

Gradient is pleased to announce the beta release of iFOR/LS for OS/2! The
iFOR/LS package consists of several components; the Application Developers
Kit (ADK), used by software developers to license software products and
the Administrator's Runtime Kit (ARK) which is used at end-user sites to
administer products licensed with the ADK.

iFOR/LS for OS/2 supports a fully functional OS/2 License Server that
allows clients to communicate over TCP/IP and NetBIOS. A new GUI
administration tool allows a single logical view of all available license
servers, statistical reporting on all license transactions and the ability
to distribute concurrent licenses from one server to another.

The OS/2 administration tool interacts with the heterogeneous iFOR/LS
platforms and can be used as a central administration tool for all
servers. Many of these features will incorporated into the upcoming
iFOR/LS Version 3 product line.

iFOR/LS for OS/2 considerably extends the range of licensing options
available to software vendors. Some of these options include:

* Nodelock Licensing
* Dynamic Nodelock, Concurrent and Use Once Licensing
* Concurrent Licensing
* Sample/Demonstration Use Once Licensing
* Compound Licensing
* Separate licensing of application components
* Sub licensing software products to distributors

iFOR/LS for OS/2 is simple to use! The end user can now decide where the
licenses can be moved by reading the licensing file provided by the vendor
and selecting "Distribute licenses".
